  1. This might help, as well: https://www.google.com/#q=RRA+LAR8+free+float https://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=205 http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=375718
  2. Pics will help... of that handguard you bought...
  3. Looks like the bolt was rotating as designed, during rearward travel, and contacted that round. The distance between scratches supports that - match the bolt lugs up to the distance between those scratches and see if that's the deal. That piece of brass with the dent directly on the shoulder? I'd get rid of that one. I'll normally see dents in 5.56 brass - and just chamber them and shoot it - let the "fire-forming" take that dent right out. I wouldn't do that with the one you're showing...
  4. If that was truly the case, Mark LaRue wouldn't have invested the time or R&D to make a complete LaRue rifle out of this cartridge. Honestly, if it sucked on a gas gun, you wouldn't be able to hop on that website and buy one right now. It's already done.
  5. ^^^ That's good - eliminates the bolt catch. The AP bolt catch is slightly different than all the others out there.
  6. ^^^Yes. The OP in that thread is ARTrooper - same guy from here. Looks like he joined there and made that post on the same day he joined here. We should ask him how this has gone. navistar - you know my input on it, on the .260. @ARTrooper, this build go? Any issues?
  7. Gas port diameter as well - but I kinda doubt that on a BA barrel. What bolt catch did you use in this build?
  8. This just came up in the last couple weeks - it's really the only one we've dealt with so far.
  9. Why, yes - that would be excellent! Fit and Finish, lens clarity, how you like the reticle - groups, box test, ease of adjustments, accuracy of adjustments! That would be wonderful, brother! That would make a good review, but I don't think we've had one that detailed before, that originated with The Rule.
  10. This doesn't look problematic, at all - it's all the same things you have to know/do/buy/tweak to build a fully functioning .308AR in .308 Win.
  11. Make sure you take measurements, as well. Those are more important than pic. What kind of receiver extension? Fixed stock or collapsible stock, rifle or carbine... Buffer length. Buufer spring relaxed length. Number of coils on the buffer spring. Wire diameter of buffer spring wire, if possible. This sounds like a buffer that's not right...
  12. I can laugh about it now - because I lived through that ordeal...
  13. Unreal - that AR owner needs buttstroked to the head with his own weapon. I can't FATHOM that you buy a rifle, and the lower says "multi" so you think you can SHOOT different calibers...
  14. Taran Butler - not even using his sights, and hip shooting... I certainly wouldn't wanna fuk with him in a gunfight...
  15. I got banned from there for ONE post. ONE. People were looking for inexpensive lowers, and I suggested Spike's Tactical. BAN. Right away. They even deleted my ONE post. This was about the 2010-ish timeframe when everybody was jumping in Spike's ass about the Mil-Spec advertising, and Spike's produced ALL their certification documents on ALL their stuff... I could go on and on... Here's someone that obviously doesn't know what they're doing - can't possibly have merit... Here's who the guy is - Baret Fawbush. He's the Senior Minister of Old Union Christian Church.
  16. Yep, I've got one - works like a charm, too.
  17. ^^^ That Fed AutoMatch is good stuff.
  18. Very well could be the AE ammo with the FC headstamp. I know I don't buy it. The damn stuff just winds up in my bucket... MikeDaddy... I'll look that die up, ss - is it the same deal as the Primer Pocket Swager 2?
  19. That's the red Loc-Tite 271 you're talking about. 242 is the blue stuff. Both are for securing fasteners. There's so damn many types of Loc-Tite it's not even funny.
  20. He's good with humans - he rubs you, and he owns you. Just don't show up in a Dog Suit... EDIT - I think he tried to eat Matt, though, on the initial meeting... He warmed up to Matt, but it took a minute...
  21. Congrats on the purchase - Make sure you hit up this sub-section: https://forum.308ar.com/forum/135-palmetto-state-armory/
  22. If you guys catch the FC (Federal Cartridge) headstamp, have spare decapping pins ready... If one of them breaks a decapping pin, be prepared for one of two things: cutting some crimp for quite awhile, or throw that bitch away right then...
  23. This right here is not a disconnector issue - what did you have to do to the gas tube, as you stated below? Just trying to figure out this whole thing in my head...
