Varget is AWESOME for .308 Win. When it became scarce (Thank you O-Bumfuck, in the SandyHook 2012 bullshiit...), I started with RL-15 - which is equally impressive. I've been on RL-15 ever since.

Your setup from your pics looks very close to the same as that Aero setup, so you should be good. I have a couple Aero 308 setups, but both are running DWilson BCGs in them, not the Aero stuff. Just caught me as strange-looking. My years here and post count don't mean anything - just means I have friends to bullshiit with, routinely. I know my join date says 2013 or something, because we transitioned to a new board then, but I've been here for ... shiit... over 7 years now...

The Jamo 500 Race is a nightly event,around the campfire. It is quite possible that the Jamo 500 will lead to the CR500 "If you can start it, you can ride it" Challenge. But, the 500 doesn't have any lights, so that's a risk you take if you're man enough to try to combine events here. It's also possible that the Jamo 500 leads to the Trebuchet NIGHT Accuracy Challenge. We just don't know...

I know you don't want to build something, but why not build a new one off the Armalite 13.5" barrel? You want to run it suppressed - what suppressor are you stuck on that you absolutely must have? How does that Dead Air Sandman S mount? Here's how it mounts - how long is that brake? Bring a 13.5" barrel to 16"? That's a long brake. Pin that thing to the 13.5" Armalite barrel, and you have a solution to an issue, without another tax stamp. Glad it works - but it looks way out of whack. Typically, that carrier cutout is kinda-centered over the port door retainer. The cutout usually has holes in it, too, or very close to it, so you can get oil the rings on the bolt, without breaking it down. Okay, I'm seeing those holes not - just forward of the cutout. That works.

Don't sweat that little gap there. However, can you close that ejection port door?... Is that bolt carrier fully seated in this pic? If it is, the pic makes it look like that port door wouldn't close, and would contact the front of that carrier cutout for it... Just curious...

RRA does a great product, and their barrels are excellent. They've been doing the 9mm for a long time, too. Long time.

Launching out the announcement of the AZ Fall Shoot. Pretty-solid dates are 4 days long, 2-5 November, which is a Thursday through Sunday. I will be out there setting up on 1 November, Wednesday. Usual Suspects - we all know who's coming. If you can think of anyone to invite, then invite them. Not meaning to sound "mean" about it, but this isn't a free-for-all. If you haven't been invited, you will not be sent link-up times and locations, or grid coordinates to the SDTF.

You're underestimating the event, my brother... The dates we initially put on paper are 1~4 November, Wednesday to Saturday - obviously, that will include a Sunday Shoot as well, 5 Nov. One of the guys traveling from Mass might be able to work it a few days after that weekend, so it might run to Tuesday... It's solid, but flexible enough to run it longer if need be.

I like it. Really. I'm not a fan of any smart-technology, because it just isn't. Kinda like the "wireless" AR accessories that almost took off. All remote switched, controlling your light, laser illuminator, red dot, etc. You get used to that smart tech, and get your gun electronically jammed, and you have to learn how to use it old-skool style - which you may not know how to do. Those fuckers. Again, with their own shiit. The Aero Precision is a little different than straight-DPMS and Armalite (both versions), as well - so it might be the same as the PSA? Worth a shot, and always in stock. Pics of your issue, measured out, would help tremendously.

Tubb Carrier Weight System fixes that, just with the CWS body, and no weight in it. If that was the issue. It adds 0.080" length to the back of the BCG, pushing that buffer off the retaining pin when the receivers are closed.
