  1. That guy is the whole reason I'd never buy an HS Precision stock. Even if it was free, and had free shipping, and they paid me everytime I pulled the trigger. Nope. Not ever.
  2. I was gonna say... Had to be as least a .45, because a 9mm ain't gonna get that done... .50 AE for the win.
  3. Excellent vid, Jacob! As far as the sick call and profiles, you're RIGHT ON the money, brother. A whole bunch of my "disability" was rated. But rated at 0%. That just means they recognize what's fucked up with me, but won't pay me. When I fought them back on the rating percentage, the official response from the VA was "You never had these injuries plague you in your career, so they never affected you." They basically told me that I never cried and whined about it, so I don't get anything above a zero rating. Fucking amazing, their mentality... The ruptured disc in my neck, with the bulging disc below it, the two bulging discs midback (T-region) and the two bulging discs lower back... Nothing. Because I never got a profile, and never shammed out of the shiit I was required to do. My answer back to them was simple - when I joined, at 18, I didn't have that shiit going on. 3 weeks before I retired, the full-body MRI was done, and it showed these problems. Now, how in the fuk did all that happen, from the time I joined up to 3 weeks before retirement?!... IN THE ARMY, is how it happened, whether I cried about it or not, got profiles, whined like a bitch, hoarded my sick call time instead of doing fucking PT... Fuk the VA, man. Right in the neck.
  4. Call them. On the phone. You will probably get another sent before you have to send that one back. It's a lifetime wtty on that scope, and they DO wtty them, no questions asked. Something is up with that one... Not common at all.
  5. SO, anymore details on how this combo is working?
  6. Gotta find out what KE Arms is using for dimensions. Fastest way to gain that info will be a phone call directly to them. Find out what pattern or standard they are basing their 80% lower on. Welcome aboard - as you've seen, these ain't AR15s. There is no set standard, no set pattern to follow, and some manufacturers (PSA specifically) have been doing their own thing.
  7. Isn't this the same setup you have, brother? Whatever yours is, I shot the SHIIT out of that thing, and loved it!!!
  8. Back in the day, MagPul didn't make grips. I had an Ergo on my M4A1 that went on a couple deployments with me. This was around 2002/2003. They're good.
  9. This is my philosophy, as well. I don't care where the brass goes, as long as it gets out of my rifle, and the next round chambers. If your BCG is going too fast (which will tear up parts in the long run), then you'll have malfunctions related to that. If you're not having malfunctions, then the BCG is doing what it's supposed to be doing, as far as speed goes. It's a "range," not an exact speed. You chase some ghosts trying to find a "perfect ejection pattern" in these things. You'll also spend alot of money on parts that you don't need (adjustable gas blocks, for one), and you'll have a pile of parts left over that will build a perfectly functioning "next" rifle. I've seen that pie chart, that shows ejection patterns - that's all based off AR15 stuff. Sure the Large Frame ARs are the bigger brother, but they're not totally identical. I wouldn't worry where the brass is landing, in a clock position - just that the rifle functions, and the brass is getting out, and the next round is chambering.
  10. I ended up poking around again on LaRue's website, and found a $100 discount on a rail system I've been wanting. Imagine that. http://www.larue.com/larue-tactical-ar15-132-handguard-lt15-132
  11. MagPul PRS. Luth-AR MB series.
  12. Ergo.
  13. There is no reason at all that this would not work. It will. Just make accurate measurements on both systems, or the internal depth. Correct spacer length will equal the difference between the two internal depths. Diameter of the material should be 1". You can make it tight fit if you want, and take the diameter up a little. You can always punch the spacer out from the end, if you needed to remove it.
  14. Awesome skills with the camera, man. Excellent. The AR kicks as$ too -
  15. This is progressing much more rapidly than I planned... I'm screwed...
  16. Just my luck, too - my LaRue rail is on sale right now. Gawd Daymit.
  17. Damnit. I wish the timing was right for me on this one, but it is not to be. Not right now... http://faxonfirearms.com/20-heavy-fluted-5-56-nato-rifle-length-416-r-stainless-steel-qpq-black-nitride/ Fuk me, that's a damn great deal.
  18. Awesome thread to make your intro.
  19. Indeed I have, and YOU were present. I think that was an evening in the Crystal Palace Saloon...
  20. When all this sorts out and I have my new(est) gun built, I'll have pics and dimensions of the Fulton Armory chromed BCG (DPMS part), the DWilson BCG, and the Armalite AR-10 BCG, all compared together, and against the standard AR15 BCGs.
  21. That pic came from this thread, where we all went nuts and pulled alot of info and measurements on the different (two) BCGs:
  22. This is what they look like when the gas tube is too short - this is the result of ONE combination - this is an Armalite (longer) gas port position in the barrel, combined with a DPMS-based gas tube (standard AR15 gas tube). The end of the gas tube barely even reaches the opening of the cam pin cut out.
  23. We need this topic pinned. Maybe moved to the tech section that would be appropriate for it, as well. Lots of work by all members in this thread.
  24. You'd think they'd change the product description, by now. I almost didn't order the barrel, based on the 1:8" twist description. Hell do I need a 13.5" barrel in 1:8 twist for? Only shoot 220gr projos from it?... Once I blew the pics up, and saw 1:10, I bought it. Shiit, I almost committed to it, before I blew the pics up. Said, "Self... you're gonna have to load only 220s for this thing..." "Self" is what I call myself...
