  1. Always. I don't necessarily transport extra firearms with one in the chamber, but if it's on my body, it's ready to go.
  2. Time, once again, for American History Class with AAron Lewis. This never gets old, and I'll post it about once a year, because... The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
  3. Nope, let's get it back on track, man - I love me some 45-70s, and mine is a thumper. Now you need one.
  4. Well stated, also. You're the technical guy - I'm the guy with the hammer.
  5. He's gonna need 0.075" gas port diameter for the gun to run unsuppressed, no matter what. Bare minimum. AGB Wide Open. Once he adds the can, backpressure will be increased, and he can dial that AGB down, decrease pressure, and make the can bearable. No need to make a gas port bigger than it really needs to be, to run unsuppressed. Once you add the suppressor, dial it down.
  6. Nope, no way. Make a working gun first, and confirm that you have a working gun. Priority #1. No can, adjustable gas block WIDE FUKIN' OPEN, and make a working gun. After that, if there's an issue with the can - you mess with the gas port again, to make the can run. Make a working gun, first. Don't Complicate Shiit With Complicated Shiit...
  7. With those number for a barrel config, he needs 0.075" minimum, possibly up to 0.080". Do 0.075" first, and run the gun. I bet it works like a champ. Don't go big, to 0.080" unless you need to. Run it at 75 thou first.
  8. WHOA!!! WAY TOO SMALL!!! Give me a few minutes, and I'll work on a number that will definitely work.
  9. ^^^ That's hard to take. You never know how how or when you got it, you never know what caused it, you never know what could have prevented it, and you never know if it will get you... FUK Cancer.
  10. Alright FUQR, that was TWO FINGERS... And it would be RED. ARREST-ME RED...
  11. You know what - that's a pretty damn good analogy, right there. Seriously.
  12. Looks like the BLM Range out near Lake Pleasant.
  13. The only thing I've ever run 1/2 grain on for load guassing is .300 Win Mag and .338 Lapua Mag. Just bacuase the case volume is so high. 70+ on the Win Mag and 90+ on the .338 LM. Everything else is guess work, because you'll miss something, somewhere. For Large Frame ARs, I run 0.3 apart until I find something, then step that down. For Small Frame ARs, I always run 0.2gr apart. Until I find something. There's only 2 loads in my life that I ever started 0.1gr apart, and that was my 5.56 75gr Mk262-beaters, and the newest 6 ARC 108gr load. I think you're way off, starting out 0.5gr apart - there's too much that you can miss, that far apart.
  14. Start with getting a picture up of that ejector face. I'll bet it's square as hell. Not rounded in the least. After that - I'm with the guys on the barrel. It ran. New barrel. Doesn't run now. Gas port diameter. Gas tube length. Both. Pics of parts are just about gonna be mandatory here.
  15. Whoa! Hold on, Deion. Are you actually saying you're 64 RIGHT NOW?!!? Wtf, man... From the limited pics posted of you, you don't look anything near that. Not trying to kiss your ass or anything - just never knew that. Shocked me.

    Grilling

I think Neil cold-smokes cheddar cheese blocks and cream cheese blocks - and those things are out of this world...
  17. I can't even respond to that one... Touche'
  18. You know that BOTH YOU FUQRS laughed... when you read that...
  19. You guys aren't touching penises, are you?...
  20. WE That was the night that @JBMatt thought I was dead. We rode some people hard that night. I went backwards into a railroad tie, and Matt thought I was done. I was fine, not even a leak, no blood. There was a dent in that railroad tie, from my head, though... "Who brings a CHAINSAW to the DESERT?!" says Skip's wife... I DO...
  21. If it's a true DPMS gun, then any MagPul LR-20 mag will work in it, or any variation of the Large Frame MagPul P-Mags. The .243 Win is nothing other than a .308 Win case, necked down to 6mm projectiles. Nothing else about the case is different. .308 mags that fit the DPMS Large Frame platform (original LR-308 guns) will work for your .243 WIn DPMS gun.
  22. I know two people that might be able to do something, but it's a long-shot on whether they'd run something like that onto BLM land. Okay, 3 people. I know the Range Master at Dillon. I know the guy that runs the airfields around here for Navy HALO training. the 3rd person is - I know the BLM LEO that's in charge of this area that we shoot on. That would be putting alot together, 2 of the 3 dudes already know each other. If anyone if Fast Roping anything, I wanna be the one in the bird, as the Fast Rope Master. I'm putting them out. Putting something like this together, and actually pulling it off, would be more complicated than controlling a Pachinko ball down through it's course to the bottom. I'll give it a shot, though, and reach out. I need to check with Dillon first - see what their policies are, off-range. That's Range Master Skip. His wife just LOVES @Rsquared...
  23. Well, there are no "perfectly good aircraft." Ever. Pilots are awesome at taking off, but landings are nothing more than controlled crashes. Tell you what, pilots - get this fucker off the ground, give me a good airspeed, and let me the fuk out of this thing - I'll control my own landing. Jumping out of flying aircraft is the very best thing that you can do - with your clothes on.
