Yep, even using bag and bipod would be a more realistic test. He's going to have problems even getting on the target at 500 yards if that is all the better it does at 300 when bolted down.

Still....keep in mind that these SBR's are made for storming the castle and kicking the doors in. Not shooting at them from across the fields. Though it's nice to see that they have some distance capability.

 

Full disclosure. I have this same rifle, along with my AR10 SBR, and my FAL OSW (11"). Yes, yes.......I was going through an SBR craze there for a little while. Unfortunately, I don't have a range with that kind of distance to stretch their legs. So I've only ever tested (aka.....played with) them around the sub-gun distance as the guy in the video referred to. My range I belong to only goes to 100 for right now. Hopefully, they'll open it up to at least 200 sometime soon.
