Cali_Ed
Lol, So I've decided about getting the remmy 700aacsd which go for about 725-50. I can also just finish out my 556 build for just about that much. Which route should I go?
sketch
How far is the .556 build ?
Cali_Ed
Pretty much need everything for an upper besides the upper it self and sights
Robocop1051
Finish the AR. It's a buyers market right now, and who knows how the political climate will change tomorrow. The last thing you want is to be stick with a half done rifle, not knowing what the future of gun laws are going to be, with prices jacked up almost 10x. You can buy a bolt rifle any day. Cali_Ed
make a whole lot of sense but those bolt sure are purty (drool)
98Z5V
Buy that BCM, brother. Take advantage of that deal, because that's about $280 off when you count the BCG. <thumbsup> Don't pass that one up... :bat: <lmao>
Cali_Ed
Just orderd it, now I just need a handguard and sights. I may just get the bolt action too lol Free bcg and free battle comp I'm no expert but seems like a smoking deal Edited February 7, 2015 by Cali_Ed
98Z5V
That's gotta be a record. 3-minute Enable... <lmao> Ed, I used this rail on a 16" midlength build, just to stay on the "inexpensive side" of the build - and I really, really like it. It went on Pinky. http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=
98Z5V
That MI rail is solid enough that I'd try to beat someone to death with it. It's a good system. $165 retail for the midlength. However, ... The Centurian C4 rail would be ABSOLUTELY SICK on that upper... :hethan:
Cali_Ed
I've been contenplating it since yesterday wen I sent you that pm and all day today. You and brother robot made since. Seems the front sight block would get in the way of a red dot or reflex sight?
Cali_Ed
That cent 4 rail is pretty cool ypu enabler. If you need enabling you've come to the right place Cali_ed
98Z5V
Seems the front sight block would get in the way of a red dot or reflex sight? Nope, not at all. It'll all make sense when it's mounted up. Once you're running the red dot, you won't even notice the front sight in the picture. Your brain will tune it right out. <thumbsup> That cent 4 rail is pretty cool ypu enabler. If you need enabling you've come to the right place Cali_ed We're here to please... <lmao> Rob and I... two fat chicks on the dance floor... :hethan: Decide on the rail, and tell me how much budget you have for a red dot. I'll get you squared away quick. :)) Edited February 7, 2015 by 98Z5V
Cali_Ed
Which is the proper model to keep the sight post on my mid length or should I get rid of it
98Z5V
Keep it. One less thing to mess with, plus it's properly pinned to the barrel. It's bombproof. later, down the road, would be when to remove it should you choose, but for now it's a very, very solid setup. You'll need a 9" handguard setup, or a midlength setup, in order to fit it on the rifle and keep the front sight.
Cali_Ed
Less money to spend I think and only needing a rear buis huh. Want something like this Edited February 7, 2015 by Cali_Ed
98Z5V
That Centurian C4 is a damn badass rail...
edgecrusher
However, ... The Centurian C4 rail would be ABSOLUTELY SICK on that upper... :hethan: I have one, they are nice!
Cali_Ed
What's a good rear iron sight to match up with the fsb
Zebra644
I'd go with the AR platform before something else stupid happens. As far as a BUIS, I have Troy on one and Mag Pul metal on my newest. I like the Mag-Puls better, 1 no tools needed for adjustment to zero in 2 low profile, 3 the windage wheel on the back Troy sight keeps kitting the Ratpor charging handle
unforgiven
The new MagPul pro set is nice and small.I like the tool less front sight.
Cali_Ed
As long as the back matches up with the standard front sight block
98Z5V
Any rear sight will work - pick what you like the best, and it will run with that front sight. <thumbsup>
Cali_Ed
Stupid question is 9" the longest guard I can run with the mid length system with fsb?
98Z5V
Yep. You should look at one of the two-piece rail systems, too, unless you want to unpin and remove that FSB. You'll have to take it off if you get a one-piece rail system. Edited February 9, 2015 by 98Z5V
Cali_Ed
Yeah I was looking at the 2 piece systems just trying to save weight. I liked some of the monger ones that had the cut out so not a bunch of barrel is exposed Edited February 9, 2015 by Cali_Ed
