FaRKle!
Speaking of sight alignment, do any of you use an in chamber lazer to boresight your sights? No laser boresighters for me. Doing it manually has always worked for me at 100yds to get on paper. Edited February 17, 2015 by FaRKle!
wetncold
Well , that's not right . In post # 3 , you said you had it all the way to the left & looked like it needed to go more , sounds like it moved at one point . Has Magpul contacted you back yet ? Have you shot this rifle yet with these sights ? Have you the ability to take photo's of the sight alignment & sights . You also say its all straight , with the upper receiver rail perfectly aligned with the gas Block rail ? It will not take the Gas Block being off to screw up sight alignment . The rail on the Gas block may be out of spec's , even though its rail flat may be level , other parts of where the rail clamps, may be off & tilting the front or rear sight . I had the adjustment knob turned as far as possible to the left. But last night I looked and no matter how far or which way I turn the windage knob it stays centered on the marks. The marks are on the front of the sight and is the reason I didn't notice them before. So basically the sight will not adjust for windage. Level of the rails was checked with a machinists level. Alignment was checked with a 36" straight edge. Tightness was checked with a strap wrench. All verified with the Mk1 Mod0 eyeball. Verdict: I have a bad rear sight. 98Z5V
Where did you get that rear sight? Sounds like the threading for windage adjustment is stripped, or the aperature is stripped. You turn, nothing happens. This isn't a MagPul PTS rear sight, by chance, is it? Hence, the reason I ask where you got it...
392heminut
What's a PTS, paintball tactial sight? <lmao> Edited February 17, 2015 by 392heminut
98Z5V
The MagPul PTS line is the stuff that MagPul has licensed to airsoft builders... One, or a few companies, are allowed to make it for the airsofters. It doesn't hold up well on real firearms. FleaBay is LOADED with that schit, and many sellers don't really get into details that it's the PTS line of stuff, and try to pass it off as the real deal. One of the primary reasons I lose my schit when I see people buying real-gun parts from FleaBay...

wetncold
No. It came packaged in a black Magpul box. I don't think the steel sights are made for toy guns.

survivalshop
If the windage adj. is not working is one thing , but looking down the sights & saying they are not aligned is another . Photo's would be a big help , please .
