planeflyer21 Posted September 8, 2015 Report Posted September 8, 2015 (edited) Stupid California.... I'll be swapping over to Barnes soon.Even though more recent, more scientific studies show the condor lead poisoning is not coming from "gut piles with lead" but because condors are nesting in old lead mines.Dude...you best swim that river to get over here before we convince Donald to build a wall keeping Californians out. jtallen83 Posted September 8, 2015 Report Posted September 8, 2015 I'll give that a go. I got the 50 box for $10, figured I could burn up the box for that but was so disappointed I shelved them. If I. can find a node with R15 I'll get more at the gouge price. Good info has been hard to come by for that bullet.

Stay in 42.0~42.5 for a few and see if the rifle likes it.
washguy Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 I've loaded some 168 gr. Barnes TSX;http://www.barnesbullets.com/bullets/tsx/Fit the mag just fine but I haven't found a good accurate load yet, I've only done a couple ladders with IMR 4064 and H4895 but they were all over the place. Odds are I'll have used up the box of 50 before I get anything I like. Might be some factory loads that work fine though. They have a good rep as stoppers.i just ordered another 10 more boxes of these http://ammomart.com/308-winchester-ted-nugent-165gr-barnes-tsx-20-roundsthey also have these http://ammomart.com/308-winchester-ted-nugent-180gr-barnes-ttsx-20-roundsI havnt shot them yet,but the reviews are great....the price is smoking hot....Ive inspected the first 10 boxes and they look mighty nice...course that dont mean crap Wash
jtallen83 Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 Damn! That is a smokin deal, you pay that for the bullets alone most times. I may have to give them a go, I like the idea of a mag full of180's.
Magwa Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 I shoot the 168 ttsx vortex ammo in my DPMS and I will just tell you flat out they love to kill elk, deer and any other critter you happen to drop the trigger on two years in a row one shot kills one at 326 yards and one at 178 dropped both elk in their tracks game over ....
