That system worked great. Thanks for the ideas guys. I just had him look at the phone and snapped it. My wife didn't believe it so we checked her and myself too. Both right eyes for us.

Gonna have to build a dedicated .22 for him. Darn!  The next one is about 4 years behind him....so he should be in a good spot for hand me down rifles.  We were thinking a boy and a girl would have been good, but I'm pretty happy with two boys. At least we didn't drop twin girls on the second pregnancy!  I wouldn't know what the hell to do.

Right now, with the schit we have going on with one of the granddaughters we've been raising for the last 10 years I would have to say you are infinitely better off with two boys!

That's one of the rules. You gotta load your own gun. And if ammo prices stay up...you're gonna need a paper route too. Sorry son.

Mine was two got it for my 12th birthday. I did shoot .22 before that with my dad tho.

I couldn't get a gun till summer between 8th and 9th grade. Daisy BB gun at 10 and Pellet gun at 13. My oldest girl F'ed up with a paint ball gun as a freshman in high school. Every child is different, and environmental factors and location also are important.

I learned on bb guns and .22 . First hand gun was super hot loads in .357! Scared the hell out of me then i fired the .270 ouch! I was maybe 90#s and 9 or 10 years old. At a friends house my mom would never... 12 ga from stepdad at 14. Good ol days!

Summercamp at Fire Mountain from age 10, I shot 22lr guns. The 2nd summer forward I brought my own ammo, got really good.

My step dad got me a 20gauge shotgun at Coast-to-Coast Hardware store then two years later I got a Stevens bolt action in .270Rem. Always bought my own ammo. Also picked up a Ruger 6 in 22lr when I was 16.
