EngrBob Posted July 4, 2016 Report Posted July 4, 2016 Today is July 4, Independence Day. Independence is more than the Second Amendment, it is all of the first 10 and the text of the Constitution (After 10 I am not so sure). It represents the fundamental right of Americans to make their own decisions, good or bad; to be responsible for themselves and their families; and to be free from governmental direction of their lives when that direction is unnecessary in terms of preserving the nation. Over the years, many, like my father, have fought to maintain these rights, others have worked in the political process and voted to achieve the same end. This year in particular our nation is challenged with a philosophy that is absolutely in opposition to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It is a philosophy that has permeated every Administration since Reagan, using a strategy outlines by Saul Alinsky. We must reaffirm our belief in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights in everything that we do and not avoid fulfilling our responsibilities as Americans, including the simple activity of voting, even if it is for the candidate who least represents the Alinsky paradigm. Least anyone forget - In orther words, don't be a Useful Idiot!
Magwa Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 right on target...... we must get this turned around... we need patriotism in huge amounts........
