The FAL mags and ambi bolt catch AND mag release sold me on it. Now everyone else uses PMAGs. Still, I think the LAR-8 is a great platform, underserved by the aftermarket. Except for changing the trigger to a SSA-E and grip to a LaRue A-peg. After putting together Aero's M5 I have turned into a M5 fan. Can't be beat for the money.
