Grip selection for Aero M5 build...

Ok, so I'm gradually getting this thing together.  Anyway, I went to install my MIAD 1.1 today, and it wouldn't fit without a gap between the grip and receiver.  I think the curve of the "beavertail" doesn't match the receiver, as it works with the flat non-beavertail backstrap (which is ugly and uncomfortable).  Anyone else have this issue?  Issue of the grip or the receiver?  Any chance Magpul might have another backstrap?  Any good ideas for trimming the backstrap that won't look like a dog's ass?

Magpul makes a MIAD specific to the "AR-10" platform. Still might not matter with no real spec on the 308AR's.

Yeah, I just found out they make a Type 1 (MAG520) and a Type 2 (MAG521...which is what I got from Primary).  Evidently, I need the type 1 backstraps.

they have em on ebay too     thats what fills in the gap     oh crap now its down to generation of the lower just to fit a grip  lol

geeez aint that rich? I missed the point....you are talking about the backstrap...not the space between grip and lower?

Wash, he's referring to the beavertail at the back of the grip where it mates with the receiver.
