mineralman55
The guy is an f'ing moron. Does he really think eating veggie burgers is going to "save" the world from the non-existent problem of "carbon footprint"? Apparently he and too many others do. Science education is sadly lacking everywhere. I'm not arguing the point of eating veggie burgers. If people want to eat them more power to them. Some veggie burgers taste great... especially with bacon and cheddar cheese on top. But you're not going to affect anything by doing so. shepp
I like joe rogans take on this, these people don't realize how many small mammal, ground nesting birds and other things are killed when the grains and other produce are picked to make these veggie things. The blood is still on their hands. On that i hat I feel like a big all beef steak tonight

DNP
I wonder what produces a larger footprint. Cows. Tractors and machines farming incredibly large fields(even larger if we move to veggie only) Thousands of peasant level (yes, that's what it would take to do it even close to affordably) workers using hand tools. Hundreds of millions of people with more gas than normal due to the high veggie intake.

For what they'd say the workers "deserve" a cucumber would cost more than waygo beef

Had a 1 and 1/2 inch thick round steak the other night rubbed down with my home made roasted garlic paste with sea salt and rosemary, and grilled to medium rare over a 600F charcoal fire. The cow was raised and butchered locally, fed on a grain mix in the winter and grass pasture in the summer. Round steak is usually a little tough and needs to be pounded. Not this, could have cut it with a butter knife. Still working on it with steak sandwiches for lunch. Tonight locally butchered pig country style ribs slow cooked. What is this about vegans? All those guys at $15/HR plus benefits? In-n-out veggie patties would cost about $300 a piece.

Damn I wish you lived just down the street. When I was a kid the only beef pork or poultry and dairy I ate at home was home grown. About only food we ate out was hamburgers and corn dogs. Never had tough meat, till I left home.

I eat all the wrong foods, but damn, I'm happy! Do try to stay away from refined sugars and carbs as much as possible. But still weigh too much. mrmackc
We hardly use any white sugar at all and seldom ever fry anything with grease. I have almost quit Diet cokes my son-in-law got me on Zero cokes without that Diet soda sweetner, I only drink Cokes about 3 or4 a week. I am still using my Old Smoky electric smoker for turkey and brisket. I add some cooking wine to the water pan, I get a nice smoke flavor (hickory chips) jucie turkey or briskit, it don't hold a lot of meat 15# turkey or small briskit.
