jtallen83
My 50 BMG fund just took a hit, haven't seen XM80 at this price in a good long time! http://palmettostatearmory.com/lake-city-xm80-7-62x51-20rd.html?trk_msg=I8KAT5DB4BA4R57LGHF0800IRG&trk_contact=CCM1L42B6H11OTO9IV10FHBVDG&trk_sid=PGGDHALCFQ7EPMKPCH50QL861C&utm_source=Listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=http%3a%2f%2fpalmettostatearmory.com%2flake-city-xm80-7-62x51-20rd.html&utm_campaign=Daily+Deal+Email&utm_content=5%3a00+Email

98Z5V
I can barely load some .308 Win range ammo for 50 cents a round. Buying this is a labor-free operation. 25 cents per Hornady 150gr FMJBT projectile, 19 cents worth of RL15 powder, and 3.2 cents for a large rifle primer. jtallen83
The misery my bank account feels enjoys the company! Besides, the money spent will be long forgotten when the primers are struck.

jtallen83
Still available, couldn't resist, got me for a couple hundred dollars more.......... Noticed a reviewer states he couldn't use it at his range due to a "steel core"? Never heard of XM80 having a steel core but then I guess I never put a magnet to it.... http://palmettostatearmory.com/review/product/list/id/427/
survivalshop
Look at the post dates on those reviews . 7.62 m80 has been plated steel jacket for a long time now. Just like the tons of Russian ammo people shoot is plated steel. The mild steel is plated, but when the rifling engraves the bullet it will cut through some of that plating and you will have steel on steel. However, That is pretty soft mild steel and is a tad thinner then a gilding metal jacket. It's hardness may be a few ticks higher then gilding metal but its still so much softer then the barrel steel that you or the barrel will never know the difference. Throat erosion will usually wreck a barrel before the rifling goes to poop.
jtallen83
I get it now, mild steel copper plated jacket on a lead core. Surprised me I never ran across this before. Sounds like GGG and PPU are some of the few M80 rounds without steel.

survivalshop
Got my order today & the Bullet will hold a Magnet . Might have to pull one & cut it in half .

Nothing wrong with it , there is a shooter on the M14 Forum that said he gets better score with other surplus ammo , but I never intended this for Match ammo nor is it intended for it , I would think . I wish I had more extra blow $$ to order more , but my Socom is wasting all my extra $$ ( three more weeks ! )
