Building an AR-10

[WCANTERBURY]

Having cleaned and shot the M-16 many times as an ROTC cadet in college, I would like to build an exceptional AR-10 in 308.

However, this grasshopper lacks the wisdom when it comes to the ins & outs of just about everything when it comes to parts selection & the finer points of assembly.

I want to use an SI Defense matched receiver set in fail zero with a Timney 3LB trigger, beyond that I have a lot of questions as to the finer points of this rifle. I do want to build a RIFLE that will outshoot me. I will be using my AR for target shooting and occasionally for hunting & varminting.

I could buy a complete rifle, but I want my fingers to touch every part on this rifle. Can you recommend books, videos and of course you personal opinions?
