rcnut Posted May 7, 2018 Report Posted May 7, 2018 I am in need of a deer hide tanned in LIGHT Tan color for my grand daughters pedal plane that I am building. I thought I had enough but my hide I have is to small, used most of it for the last plane for the first grand daughter. if any one has a TAN color deer hide that would not mind parting with it please msg me and maybe we can work something out. Thank You.
mineralman55 Posted May 7, 2018 Report Posted May 7, 2018 There's a place in Robertsdale, AL on US 59 that sells hides of all sorts... cow, goat, deer, etc. Next time I'm out that way I'll get their info if you can't find it online.

ARTrooper Posted May 10, 2018 Report Posted May 10, 2018 lol. the trick is getting to them as soon as they are killed in this warm weather... plus pretty much anything hit on the interstate is going to be 50% destroyed at least.

sketch Posted May 10, 2018 Report Posted May 10, 2018 dont have any idea if it causes the hide any damage or the meat but seems to be rampid in my area.. getting worse over the years! almost all the fawns i see are tainted.
