Don't remember how I ran across this new paracord but had to put a bundle in my travel kit. I think I will have @beachmaster make a Baldric sling out of this reflective orange for use at work. This version has a reflective strand and three glow in the dark strands in the outer case. A 30 AWG brass wire for use as a conductor or as they suggest a snare, 25 lb test fishing line, and some wax jute for fire tinder. Expensive at around 25 cents a foot but with all the capabilities you cant really compare it to standard 550 cord, this is rated at >620. The only real difference from standard 550 cord I noticed is the wire adds a touch of stiffness and allows it to hold a bend to some degree, run it between your fingers and it straightens right out, no memory from the bend. They have a 10% former and active duty military discount.

Just noticed they have an even tougher version that has braided fishing line and a Kevlar strand rated at >1000! Still think I like the idea of having that wire in there.

Kick arse company! Sent them my DD214 last night, they refunded 10% from the order I made last week and that order already had a $5 discount for being my first order

Two years later I finally got around to ordering that Survivor Cord sling, more specifically a Baldric to carry my Junglas and a few other goodies. You can see @beachmaster found a way to get a little extra length involved, the green Baldric is the standard weave, from measuring what's left I would say there is just over 40 foot of the Survivor cord in it. The Velcro straps that came with the cordage were incorporated, works great to gather things up for storage, I'm thinking they would hold a CAT tourniquet, just in case the Junglas gets away from me.
