It has been raining every day in Seattle since sometime in December, finally got out to the range this morning with the 25-45. Tide was in a bit!

Yes, had some good loads. and some not so good. The Barnes TTSX were the worst, patterning not grouping. Moved on after 6-7 rounds. The Game Kings and Sierras were good, the Factory Swine Smashers wouldn't feed for crap. Like they stick in the feed ramps, need to open them up just a bit maybe. Probably just pull them and re-load with GK's. Also thinking to go a little hotter with the RL-7, produced the best groups but lacking velocity. Clean and resize the brass and narrow it down a little bit more next time, maybe without the crosswinds.

90 SGKs and RL-7

I'm at 23.3gr, how much hotter do you think I could go? Thinking ladder up .3 increments to 24.2 if the case volume is there, see if the groups hold. Like to see 2700 fps.

I stopped at 23.1, and only had one more load up above that to test, but that was April 2017.  23.1 was my best group.  Never any pressure signs.  I guess I could load these ladders again and push up to the next accuracy node.  See what shakes out. I'm making them 0.2 grains apart, just so I don't miss something.

Tested 3 AR's that I worked on. Got the 6.5G ejecting at 2 O'clock at about 4 feet with 123gr Black ammo different magazine.. The 224V is ejecting at 2:30 around 5-6feet about, changed the buffer weight. And the 6.8spc is ejecting at 3:30 around 10ft.,changed buffer and spring.

I'll do the .2 on the ladder, already have 60 RP's and 20 FC factory sharps prepped, all fired through this barrel. Also pulled 5 of the 100 gr Swine Smashers, left the 25.5 gr factory ball powder, going to seat some 100gr Hornadys . Same with 5 of the factory 87gr FMJs, they had 28gr powder going to replace with 87gr Hotcores.

Had a nice day, got some sub MOA groups. The RL7 did not perform well until I hit close to max loading. Noticed that with the 458 as well. Data 2200 = Western Accurate 2200

16" Sharps Rifle Co Barrel
Wolf Small Rifle Primer

Velocity measured with a Labradar 6" from muzzle
      50 deg F 25-45 Sharps
Bullet Weight Powder Charge Shots Average Spread SD
Sierra Game King 90gr RL-7 22.8 5 2454 81 34 Doesn't perform well reduced loading
Sierra Game King 90gr RL-7 23 5 2446 164 69.2 REALLY Doesn't perform well reduced loading. May have flipped this data and the 22.8 charge weight data.
Sierra Game King 90gr RL-7 23.2 5 2510 48 18.3 MOA
Sierra Game King 90gr RL-7 23.4 5 2524 30 11.9 Sub MOA
Sierra Game King 90gr RL-7 23.6 5 2560 16 6.8 Sub MOA Note: Over SAAMI Max Load
Sierra Game King 90gr Data 2200 25.2 5 2631 64 25.5 MOA
Sierra Game King 90gr Data 2200 25.4 5 2656 52 20.7 Sub MOA
Sierra Game King 90gr Data 2200 25.6 5 2678 18 8.9 Sub MOA Note: Over SAAMI Max Load

Looking at the data again and racking my brain, I used some new brass that I pulled the bullets out of and dumped the powder, and then reloaded without re-sizing the neck. might have been the first 15 or 20 loads. The reduced RL-7 from a couple weeks ago didn't exhibit anything like this.
