IrishCajun Posted April 13, 2020 Author Report Posted April 13, 2020 Ok, Here is a question that I have, I currently have a 16in barrel with a 1:9 twist. I shoot my 78gr bthp and love the results that I have. How much difference would I see if I went to a 1:7 twist ???
jtallen83 Posted April 13, 2020 Report Posted April 13, 2020 I never could make up my mind so tend to go 1-8, my two most accurate 5.56’s are 1-8’s from Armalite. I have rifles in all three twists but not shooting at any real long range and most likely I am not a good enough shot to see the difference anyway.

I'm wanting to replace that A2 sight with a flip up front sight. In order for me to do so, I want to do a fluted free float. This is where I need help.

shooterrex Posted April 13, 2020 Report Posted April 13, 2020 CDNN has a ton of barrels for sale right now. Maybe not fluted. DS Arms has fluted 16" barrels or at least they did when I bought an upper from them about 10 years ago.

So I'm guessing I'm wanting an 18.8 in barrel now.
