Bolt catch

Working on my first AR308 lower on this fine Father’s Day, and noticed the mag catch doesn’t seem to thread into the button very far. I’m using an Aero M5 parts kit on an Aero lower. 
I usually thread the catch in flush with the button. 
it does seem to work fine when I put a mag in just wondering if I have an AR15 mag catch.

That's how mine is on my aero as well. It's threaded in there farther then you realize.

Push in the threaded part with a punch and see if you can't get it to turn a time or two more.

I install the mag catch before I install the bolt catch so it's not in the way when I'm screwing in the mag catch.

That's normal on the large-frame guns.  No worries, run it like that.

Shits I put a bolt catch in my pocket after I measured 1-1/4" overall,  now it will show up as a gun in my lawn thanks . 😊
