LRB Arms M25 in Sage EBR Mod 1 Chassis with PRS stock and Criterion Hvy. Barrel!

Here are the pictures. My M25 before I added the PRS Stock, TPS TSR Medium height steel rings and SS-HD 5-25x50 FFP mil scope on the 20MOA extended rail. Total elevation approximately 120MOA. 1 in 10" twist 4 groove, 22 inch NM Criterion Chrome Moly barrel. I might go with a US Optics T-10 or T-17 with TPS TSR Low height rings.

LRB Arms forged M25 receiver, bolt, Op rod (USGI or Korean one piece forged Op rod). Sage EBR Mod 1 chassis for heavy barrels. Note that the objective bell of the scope clears the front of the extended rail with medium height TPS rings.

Instead of the Bobro designed GG&G bipod, I might go with an Atlas bipod.

This is a Ted Brown build.  It was built with the best commercial and USGI components.

Thats one beautiful gun. if it's built by Ted Brown I'm sure your going to be happy with it. I've got most of my parts in hand to put my first M1A together, just waiting on my JAE stock (ordered last June). I still don't have glass, or money for it right now. How do you like the SS scope? I was thinking Night Force, but they're pretty pricey so I may have to go with something less expensive initially. Best of luck with it, please post a range report.

If you visit SWFA and especially Sniper's Hide, some have stated that the SS-HD, glass and coating wise, is superior to the Night Force, and the mechanics are as competent as the Night Force.  For the price point, the SS-HD line is great value for the money.  If I were to "improve" on it I would go with the US Optics and not the NIght Force which to my mind is not an improvement but you pay more for it. IMHO.  The glass is excellent.  I have looked through the NF scopes and the US Optics - USO all the way.  Most people who advocate the NF do so on the basis of the mechanics but really the USO is superior in that area as well.

No argument about the USO being a step up from the NF, in price as well as quality. My eyesight's not so good anymore and I've not had the chance to spend a lot of time with too many high end scopes, Haven't actually sampled the USO. I have used the NF and found it to be pretty good, I've also used the S&B scopes which I'm told are comparable to the USO, but I can't justify the cost, based on my income and the fact that I am not in the line of work where that level of optic is required. I have heard that the NF are pretty indestructable (and heavy). I expect that the optic that I get for my build will be a compromise. I was very impressed with a Nikon that I had a chance to use, but it has a 1" tube and not all the features I'd like. I was considering the Millett as a temporary solution but will take a look at the SS. Thanks for the reccomendation, and don't forgrt to give use a range report.
