That's definitely a new twist! Looking through the site I can see he does some amazing work! I have a 1972 Colt Python that I want to get reblued, but I want it done right. Looks like that might be the place to get it done.

NEMO Arms has a similar rifle on the cover of their catalog. Personally, I like it! I think I would like more wood (rifle length) as an option. I would have kept the A2 front sight. I like the modernization of the old frontier style. I think it's classy and original.

These guys have a reputation for good quality work, (although not cheap). I don't know if they make their own handguards, but I've read (I think on this forum) where people have had problems with some of the wooden AR handguards cracking. I guess they need to be well made and properly fitted. I found the color case hardening to be interesting. I really love the way it looks on the SA revolvers. I've got a Ruger Vaquerro that has it and I'm dreaming about having it done over by one of these outfits someday. Another company that does museum quality work is Bowen Classic Arms. If you like the old (and not so old) revolvers, You should take a look at the gallery on their site, or maybe you shouldn't, it may cost you some money.

392heminut, Re the reblue of your Python. I may be mistaken, but I don't think that Turnbull will do the work. I think I contacted them about rebluing a Smith model 29 of mine and they told me that they don't work on them. Don't know if it's DA's in general, or just the S&W's.

You guys ever watch Sons Of Guns?  Red Jacket?  Remember right before Vince had the falling out, and Will was all up his ass about sending out one of his own rifles, from his own collection, to get color case hardened?  He sent it to Turnbull...  Just sayin'...  <dontknow> <thumbsup>

That would look good on a Woody.  Especially one set up as a National Match rifle...  VERY good.  Hmmm...

put this gun on the 'must shoot' list <thumbsup>

Don't do it, brother, I'm just sayin'...   If you shoot it, it's only gonna cost you money, in the long run.  You'll shoot it, and love it - then you'll HATE it afterwards...  :o

<laughs> <lmao>

(I'm on Fulton Armory RIGHT NOW, buying poop to finish this thing, that I forgot about doing - it's a CURSE...  :o)

Got it already, brother.  Done.  It's not a 0.036" rear peep, but it's a 0.040" rear peep.  That was on the original build, and that poop ain't cheap.  :o

Check out how skinny that front sight post is...  <lmao>

Remember Clint Eastwood, in "Heartbreak Ridge..."

"I can put a round through a flea's ass at 200 yards..."

That's not an unreal expectation, brother.  <thumbsup>

You might LIKE this rifle.  BADLY.  <laughs> <lmao>
