I'm thinking about registering for it. It would make transferring NFA items much more quick, whether on my SOT or personal trust, it's still mine on either side of the transfer. Seriously thinking about it brother, I've got a lot of friends who could give a personal FFL buddy a lot of business.

You need to to have your type 01 FFL before you can apply for a SOT just so you are aware.

I may need to further educate myself on this, but if I'm not mistaken, you can apply for an FFL w/ SOT status on your initial application. I could very well be wrong, so don't take that as an absolute statement.

Matt, you are correct... you can apply for both at the same time... I would try it, they way I see it if you can get your type 01 FFL first this is the most important one then all you have to do is apply for the SOT, but remember you will be paying $500.00 every single year before July 1st to be able to sell NFA firearms. And then you need someone thats willing to buy them, and having a letter to prove an agency would like a demonstration in order to get a Post 86 dealer sample.. Being in Law Enforcement I still wonder if I will be able to make sales to agencies to justify the cost of the SOT..
