Robocop1051
2.5-10×32 NXS COMPACT RIFLESCOPE I totally forgot I ordered this scope last year. After talking to a LEO rep on the phone, he advised me that this scope was made to order and the waiting list was over 4 months long. I was truely torn between this scope and the IOR Valdada "Spartan". Originally I wanted the original NF 2.5-10x24, but the rep advised that that scope was only available to military orders, and even if he could sell them to me I would have to make a bulk order of atleast 25 scopes. Not being MIL, or having $50k for a bulk order, I went through with this scope. Out of sight, out of mind, I put the order behind me (forgot about it) until recently. I got a call out of the blue saying that my scope was ready and they were shipping it to me ASAP. You guys don't even want to know what I spent on it. It's funny how some would be jealous of the price tag, yet if my wife new the final cost her reaction would be a LOT different. <lmao> Originally they offfered to sell me a mount as well. Their price on the mount was rediculously high, and I knew I could find a better price on my own. I thought I was going to end up with an ADM or LaRue mount, but eventually ended back up with the Nightforce Ultralite Unimount. It was just too lightweight to pass up. Plus the idea of a titanium mounting system was very appealing to me. It's not a quick release, but a simple wrench in my MIAD grip can fix that. I scored a sweeeet deal on GunBroker for less than half the price of a NIB piece. The mount looks like it was never used <thumbsup> I wanted to make sure I had everything in order before I showed it off to you guys. (Sorry for the iPhone picture quality) I decided on the [Low] Velocity 600 reticle. This reticle is optimized for the 168gr .308 bullet, out to 600 yards. (The scope isn't crooked on the rifle. I just suck at photography) Now I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet (New baby is taking up all the play time)... But I have hunted invisible aliens around my house for a few days now (the wife just shakes her head). I am in love with this thing! I especially like the throw lever. I installed that piece immediately, and with no problems. No more looking to add those bulky "pig tail" throw levers. I thought that a company like NF would have popped for a better eye piece cover?? I guess the rubber ones work ok, but there is nothing "high speed, low drag" about them. A set of Butler Creek lids might be in my future?? NF has something to learn about battery life too (only 200 hours)... I already forgot to turn off my battery once :-[. They are FAAAAR from Aimpoint battery life, but that's ok for me too. The batteries are cheap, at about $1 each online. They are also easy to replace in just a few seconds. I hope to sight this baby in in the next few weeks. Then I'll really start to lay some lead to paper!

planeflyer21
Sweet! I wonder if we could swing $50k ordering through Tom. We may crash the economy not ordering other stuff though. Jon

Rsquared
NightForce = Quality glass. Period. Yes, they're pricey.....but they're sweet. After buying mine, I don't think I'll ever buy anything else. Except, maybe Leupold. Still like them also. NICE score Rob. That's an excellent scope. Now.......keep chasin them invisible bastards. Don't take crap from anybody. I play dark ops in my back yard all the time. At night of course. <laughs> Edited April 18, 2013 by Rsquared
