Anybody shooting air rifles?

I need to cull a squirell problem in town, went air rifle shopping and got some serious sticker shock!?

Anybody got input on Gamo vs. Benjamin vs. Crossman's new tech.?

The .22 Gamo WHisper Fusion Pro w/IGT and Sound (NDT) deadener (wtf) sells for around $215!?

Found a .22 Benjamin at Gander with some sort of new Crossman gas tech for $149? (Really nice walnut stocks)

Any input on these or better places to shop /research?

I shot a Benjamin pneumatic. 22 as a kid. It was very accurate, fairly lightweight and easy to hunt with out to 25 yards.

I now shoot a Diana mod 52 spring piston.

It's more powerful and more accurate than the Benjamin was but a lot heavier.

I think I paid about $550 for the Diana mod52 20 or so years ago.

Need more info... <lmao>

lol...he's a good old boy from GA. he taught me alot while we were stationed together in Kuwait, and then Huachuca. we use to hunt rabbits behind the motor pool with sling shots at night, and go frog giggin in the ponds behind the ranges. he sent me a link to a YouTube video of them plinking turtles a few months ago. I'll try to dig it up. it was awesome.

I have a gamo big cat for shooting in camp with a scope I'm good to 40 yds at a 1/2" .177-1100 fps I think I picked it up for 150$ 4years ago still running strong. I hear they have a piston system that is better and a tad quieter than the spring. Quiet in town I'd get good with the slingshot.
