shibiwan Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 People have lost their sense of humor. Tell me about it. Just yesterday my "almost 17" daughter told me that she saw a t-shirt that she really liked and wanted me to guess what was on it. Taking into consideration that this is a foster-adopted kid that is sexually active, and likes to say things for "shock effect" whenever she can, I decided to be a smartass crank it up a notch. I replied "it says 'Cum Dumpster'." She got mad and told mom and now my wife is pissed off at me. So my attempt at humor was quashed, and I'm getting sh*t over it. P.S. Another humorous situation came about when the wife and her ordered a "toy" for her, the same week I ordered my 300 BLK barrel...........

I am wrestling internally with how I should even feel about this. You have presented us with a complex situation filled with cultural taboos yet humorous overtones. Im going to need a drink to process this.

shibiwan Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 Boundaries? Where we're going there are no boundaries....
blue109 Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 . buy the ticket, take the ride! oops, sounded like a 'head there for a minute....
StainTrain Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 (edited) A drug person can learn to cope with things like seeing their dead grandmother crawling up their leg with a knife in her teeth. I had to look this one up. I had it all mixed up from memory. Edited June 13, 2014 by StainTrain
blue109 Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 you can turn your back on a person.... pretty sure I can quote that movie front to back lol. I can do pulp fiction without missing a single scene. 2 of my favorite movies.

I read the script of FLLV after finding it in my college library.
blue109 Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 got the book right here on my shelf, near my framed copies of the rolling stones issue dedicated to hunter after he offed himself. also several books of ralph steadmans artwork squeezed up close to electric kool-aid acid test. I even have a nice old copy of keseys garage sale. my 'head collection is pretty decent. now the real question...do I prefer Nirvana or Hendrix. this is honestly a tough question. I must meditate.
blue109 Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 (edited) if it comes down to a few choice songs, I can agree. it was before my time, but castles made of sand is one of my favorite songs. if were going to look at the entire collection as a whole, Nirvana might have the edge. I have some import CDs that are REALLY good. and their cover of where did you sleep last night (lead belly) from the unplugged album was pure aural bliss. Edited June 13, 2014 by blue109
StainTrain Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 I gotta go with Shibi.....it's Jimmy hands down....and then The Band.
shibiwan Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 ...then Led Zep....Floyd... Nirvana... blah. I like them but I never considered their stuff groundbreaking.
StainTrain Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 I appreciate you throwing out led zep and floyd,....but you are doing that just to throw us off of your Moody Blues groupie trail. <laughs>
blue109 Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 I came up on minor threat and misfits to be honest. my bike riding set lists are still primarily punk. I played guitar (poorly) in a pile of punk and hardcore bands. I was a drum&bass dj and also a big hiphop head. I had a wild and diverse youth lol.
