so Bubba and I went out shooting this morning. Both of us bought these nifty little AR400 squirrel targets for some plinking fun.

The target recommends 20 plus yards with nothing stronger than a 22 LR. we found out that it does just as good with 12 gauge and most pistol ammo at the same distance.

at 50 yards we hit it with a 223 and it put a good ding in the metal target. at 100 yards the 55gr 223 barely marked it, as if it was being hit with a 22.

We learned very quickly that 100 yards was still waaaaay too close for the 308.

Yeah.... he didnt know what hit him. Should last a good bit. Atleast now I know I need a good front bag for off table. Guess its time to practice and get out of prone for a few. Oh and we will work on our team work again. Ive already got a vocal countdown.
