Robocop1051 Posted June 23, 2014 Report Posted June 23, 2014 (edited) so Bubba and I went out shooting this morning. Both of us bought these nifty little AR400 squirrel targets for some plinking fun. The target recommends 20 plus yards with nothing stronger than a 22 LR. we found out that it does just as good with 12 gauge and most pistol ammo at the same distance. at 50 yards we hit it with a 223 and it put a good ding in the metal target. at 100 yards the 55gr 223 barely marked it, as if it was being hit with a 22. We learned very quickly that 100 yards was still waaaaay too close for the 308. Edited June 23, 2014 by Robocop1051

Microgunner Posted June 23, 2014 Report Posted June 23, 2014 So, you're saying 308s and squirrels don't mix?
