I then used a laser bore sighter to set the point of impact at 100 yards

to be 7.5 inches high.

So you zeroed the rifle at 100yds, then put a laser boresighter in there and then changed the POA of your scope down 7.5" (raises impact 7.5" up from POA)?

+2 troll attempt. For the full amount of troll points you should've put it in the general section, not "accurizing .308AR" section. - Troll adjudicator.

So , this was some kind of test to make fun of us, well I think it sucks , you trying to make us look stupid.

If this was his goal, then he failed miserably.

So, does this mean that joeschmuck_6 is on the shiit heel list now?

Nah, just some dude that has a .50cal and a ballistic calculator that thinks shooting steel the size of a car door at 1000 yards is precision work.

In defense of the 308 stuff, I found data that runs all over the place with it, from 500 back to 100.  Depends on the round, is what it comes down to.  How much drop at what range, yada yada yada.  I found some that was 40 MOA drop at 500.  So divide the 40 MOA by 5 to get a round idea at 100, and you'd have 8 inches.

Depends on your ammo that you intend to shoot.
