gsmopar Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 Has anyone tried one? I picked up one at the range the other day, but haven't been able to "give it a shot." Later, Greg
FaRKle! Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) Some .308AR's had issues with them (Ruger, and some others), but they've worked flawlessly in my PWS and LMT. I've also heard of some 175gr loads not fitting, although I haven't experienced that with my mags and HSM M118LR Equivalent or 7.62x51mm FGMM. Edited August 21, 2014 by FaRKle!
shibiwan Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 I've tried the new gen 3 (308) on my CMMG and have no issues. I just got some of the 25 round gen 3 mags ast week but have yet to try them out.
Toolndie7 Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 Ive run 20rd and 10rd gen3 mags in a TM lower with a dmps upper no problems.
warthog984 Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 Worked fine in my Aero Precision lower and upper combo.
Cali_Ed Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 That's all I run on my 308 no issues here
shibiwan Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 The 25-round ones are fine and get ths Shibi stamp of approval. :D
beachmaster Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 I have 5 25 rounders and use them in my dpms gii. Although I have not used all of them yet due to my financial retardation, the two I have used had no issues.
NTXshooter Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 They won't work in a Shadowops lower without modification.
EasyEJL Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 They won't work in a Shadowops lower without modification.have you worked out the modification? I have 5 of the gen 2 20 rounders, but more wouldn't hurt
98Z5V Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 ^^^ Probably the tab on the back of the mag, that prevents over-insertion. Had to trim those tabs a little on my 5.56 Gen 3 20-rounders, to get them to work in the Noveske flared forged lower.
NTXshooter Posted September 11, 2014 Report Posted September 11, 2014 Yea, they raised the shoulder around the entire magazine. Took a little work with a dermal, but they work now
