NTXshooter Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 This was in my inbox today. Not for the faint of heart. http://wilsoncombat.com/new/308-project.asp?utm_source=Wilson+Combat+Newsletter&utm_campaign=da24acafe5-308P10222014&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_7e19171a14-da24acafe5-310161097&mc_cid=da24acafe5&mc_eid=243d7d68ff
392heminut Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 This was in my inbox today. Not for the faint of heart. Nothing from Wilson Combat is for the faint of heart! I personally think most of his stuff is overpriced.
Magwa Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Overpriced, over weight and total bloat! what a crock why is it that all the elite companies think people are stupid.... if you want a light weight 308 in the AR platform either build it or buy a S&W M%P it is the lightest i have seen and it costs around 1200 to 1400... then buy a good range finder, and a good scope, have a beer and you have spent what the Wilson costs.. which will make you happier? I will take the beer..
Rsquared Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 I agree. And I'll have the beer with you Magwa. I like some of their parts. I used a Wilson rail on a 7" Ar-15 SBR. Really light. Total opposite of cost.....but I liked the rail at the time.
survivalshop Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 I sense Wilson Combat hate here , he makes a very good product , I have some of their barrels & would match them to anyones . Did you say the same about Larue 308's when they came out , oh ya they are the best , sorry I keep forgetting about how pricey they are & yes I know they have proven them selfs since . <dontknow> Don't knock it till you try it . I'm at hunt camp & had to start something while I'm here. <laughs>
392heminut Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 I sense Wilson Combat hate here , Yup! <thumbsup>
SpookyEng Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 No hate from me, I think it's a fine looking rifle, I am sure it will shoot well. Yeah it's spendy but not out of line with the competition (LMT, LaRue etc).
