  1. That's not good to have falling from the sky.
  2. @98Z5V, I expect to see this room for your cats in the fall.
  3. I found a couple of chuck roasts in the mark-down section and wanted to try something different. I marinated them overnight in a hot and spicy marinade. Then put them on the pellet grill at about 250. I wrapped them up at 165°F with some beef tallow for extra moisture. I pulled them at about 201-4 (depending on where I measured). It took almost 12 hours to finish. I did not let it rest nearly long enough (about 30 minutes) because I was hungry and it was past my bedtime. It looks good and tastes good but there's no hint of the hot and spicy marinade. I will try this again but use more marinade for longer. I will also use my propane smoker. It gives better smoke. It needs to be left on for a few more degrees to be slightly more tender. If I can get it to taste right, I may bring this to the fall shoot instead of pulled pork.
  4. I didn't know where to put this so I figured I would start here. @98Z5V does this seem realistic? I guess we could have people go towards the hill and see what we can tell
  5. You could start here and work upwards.
  6. The week started at 36 on Monday morning and it has made it up to 90 yesterday afternoon.
  7. Does this have anything to do with @JBMatt?
  8. I could get you an appointment quicker, but you'd have to come to Texas.
  9. In memory of Val Kilmer, I'm watching Tombstone.
  10. Looks like a good addition to the rifle. If you don't mind saying, what does it cost?
  11. I have voted for politicians that I knew were adversarial to my line of work (limiting expansion of the scope of practice) because I believed them to be a superior candidate for the rest of my values. When I properly educate myself, I can usually see the greater good in forgoing a small gain in the near term. Unfortunately, having a little money makes many people willing to do almost anything to get more. Power and notoriety/fame is just as addictive to a lot of people. Some people believe that, if another person or group has success, that success has been taken from them and has to be stopped.
  12. A little Jesus goes a long way.
  13. A patient left me with a little Jesus today. I could always use a little Jesus.
  14. @98Z5V, any truth to this?
  15. Are you going to bring the Reed clan with you? @DayWalker @kdawg0124
  16. Awesome pics. It looks like a fun time was had by all.
  17. On a more sad note, RIP to George Foreman. He passed yesterday.
  18. Live long and prosper Captain.
  19. I have had this for about 3 years. https://www.atwoods.com/outdoor-living--recreation/outdoor-cooking/grills-smokers--griddles/pit-boss-wood-pellet-grill--sportsman-850/ It works good for grilling. I have smoked a pork butt or two on it, but I still prefer my propane smoker for dedicated smoke. This is what I usually use for that task. Anyone who's had pulled pork on Thursday in the desert has had food cooked on one. https://a.co/d/0SD1gwR
  20. I know that grill. Enjoy it fellas!
  21. That is about an hour north of me. I will have to make the trip there one day.
  22. Windy and low 80's around here. No wind damage locally. A week ago, there was some straight line winds the blew over an RV and killed one guy. That was about 20 miles north of me.
  23. 243 was only tested because my brother brought it to shoot today.
  24. I hope to update this with other calibers in the future. My brother brought several rotors to be shot.
