  1. I never found an acceptable version of an AR in 7.62x54.
  2. @98Z5V Are you going to get the complete ARC lineup? They now have 338ARC. https://www.hornady.com/338arc#!/
  3. I did have limited lube on it. I had not broken it down and cleaned it as I was not anticipating shooting it much, if at all. That certainly may have played into it.
  4. I wouldn't exclude him just yet.
  5. Yep It was fortunate that there was no damage to me or the pistol.
  6. I was messing with him. He lives in the area.
  7. A little background info first... FYI, I had no input on the gun chosen. I bought this pistol from my friend's gun shop. I had him order it because my niece was supposed to buy it with Christmas money from her dad. A trip to London for her birthday next month won out in the battle for her money. So I bought it so my buddy didn't have to hold on to it until someone else decided to buy it. My brother said he would buy it from me for her birthday so I will likely only have it long enough to upgrade the trigger and springs for her. On to the issue... I shot it today at my brother's place. On the 2nd or 3rd magazine, this happened. As the box indicates, I was shooting Winchester White Box made in 2010. The ammo has been in a plastic ammo box in my closet the whole time. It blew the block pin and disconnect pin about halfway out of the frame into my thumb (no injuries sustained). I checked the gun and pushed the pins back in place. I ran another 75-80 rounds through it without issue. I believe that this is an ammo issue but have a nagging thought it could have been an out of battery discharge. A quick search didn't show a pervasive issue with that for this pistol. Am I thinking correctly or is there something else I should consider?
  8. It is upper 50s and overcast today. He's calling you out @Rsquared
  9. I knew you had the 300BO JAKL. I mentioned the AGB because they don't have a buffer to screw up.
  10. It is better to be on the good side of crows. I have heard that they will follow you to get revenge as easily as they can be nice to you. And they will tell other crows if you are good or bad to them.
  11. Pretty cool, but I bet their piston is undersized. That's why they have an adjustable gas block.
  12. @98Z5V's favorite varmint.
  13. @Magwa makes some great smoked fish.
  14. Ugh. It's not even 7°C here.
  15. In that case, maybe this would be appropriate.
  16. A good argument ender for use on the Internet.
  17. Awesome pictures Randy.
  18. A job well done!
  19. This was the air temp when I pulled my brisket out of the smoker at 1:30 this morning. It turned out to be pretty good. So did the smoked turkey breast, but I didn't take a picture of it.
  20. Are those what you bought for Black Friday? Nice collection.
