  1. If I could find one at a gun show and pay cash, I would. Not a likely scenario however.
  2. In 2012, I waited 11 months for my LAR8. Parts and raw materials are in high demand everywhere and they are in short supply. As was said, you should contact your FFL and/or RRA customer service.
  3. @jtallen83, I found a Christmas book for you. https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1777225108/boing05-20
  4. There are 15 less here now.
  5. Yep, worse than the tractor porn.
  6. Welcome to the forum. What brand of lower do you have? All DPMS based lowers are not the same. Can you post a picture of it? Since you are looking for a rifle stock, you should consider this from Armalite. https://www.armalite.com/SACItem.aspx?Item=EA6050 There is no difference in rifle receiver extensions between Armalite and DPMS.
  7. We had a tornado in town today. It hit a mobile home park and damaged about 15 trailers. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/weather/2020/12/30/national-weather-service-confirms-tornado-in-corsicana-early-wednesday/ It was a mile and a half from my house. I didn't hear a thing until a couple of hours after. Here is a picture from someone who was there.
  8. Are you really old enough to post your bathroom success stories? 🤨😝
  9. Welcome to the forum. You would do better by starting your own thread. General discussion would be fine. https://forum.308ar.com/forum/12-general-discussion/ Get some pictures of the rifle posted so we can see what you have. Bushmaster had a 308AR platform early that they sold to Rock River Arms. They are a completely different pattern than Armalite AR10 and LR308 style, aka DPMS. Later Bushmaster was squires by the group who owned DPMS and made similar pattern 308AR rifles. That company went out of business due to lawsuits and it was recently broken up and sold in pieces. The old customer service and records of serial numbers with production dates may be gone. Also, tell us a little about yourself in an introduction thread. https://forum.308ar.com/forum/22-introductions/
  10. A little late for Christmas
  11. @Belt Fed, i don't know why my phone went to this picture, but it is funny. Has your Dunlop's disease increased or decreased since the picture?
  12. All of the above have given great advice. Above all, stick to the PSA upper receiver. That will reduce the problems that you will encounter. Listen carefully to this guy. PSA can be good if you put the right parts in it. Read his build thread and pay attention to what did not work so you don't have to repeat his errors.
  13. Welcome from Texas and thank you for your service.
  14. Damn it! I always get that one wrong.
  15. There are 2 "standards" of length. One is 7 inches internal depth. The other is 7 3/4 inches deep. The shorter tube uses a 2.5 inch buffer and the longer one uses a 3.25 inch buffer. Not all manufacturers and retailers understand that concept.
  16. When you get your build kit, measure the length of your buffer tube and buffer. Weigh your buffer as well. If your buffer is not around 5.4 oz, shitcan it and get one that is.
  17. Welcome to the forum. That is a Gen 1 DPMS. Look for a "regular" barrel and bolt.
  18. That looks yummy @sketch.
  19. Did your grandson recover from that?😝
  20. First, welcome to the forum. Second, do you have a link to the listing? Third, I don't know how much I would trust buying a firearm (parts) from someone who can't answer what should be a simple, but vital, question about a 308AR. Fourth, you would be better served buying an Aero M5 lower to guarantee that it will work with your upper. https://www.armorally.com/shop/aero-precision-m5-stripped-lower-receiver/
  21. Like all of Corsicana, I'm not far from there.
  22. I am just up the highway in Corsicana.
  23. And welcome to the forum. Where about a in Texas? I am south of Dallas just barely far enough.
  24. Awesome hog harvest! I have a RR LAR-8. It will take 308 and 7.62 rounds. If you are going to use soft point ammo, be sure to test it well as some semi-auto rifles have trouble chambering them. I have not shot soft points in mine in quite a while and I can't recall the outcome. I would say it was not bad, otherwise I would remember.
