  1. Great! Then I'll finally have the spare that someone on the forum owes me. We'll see how long it takes for that person to find this. 😃
  2. If you buy one on my recommendation and don't like it, I will buy it from you for what you paid plus the shipping to me.
  3. It is likely a milspec trigger which are one stage. They are stiff but can be improved with work. I had one milspec trigger in my first AR. It has been replaced with a Larue.
  4. Where did that picture come from? Is it a stock photo from a website or something that you already own? The quick answer is to get a Larue MBT2S. It is a hell of a trigger, especially for the price point. They also have a 1 stage trigger that I haven't tried. Both are available in curved or straight option.
  5. He's not really 29. That's just where he ran out of fingers and toes to count.
  6. Welcome from Texas. I was in my 40s when I started coming to the forum.
  7. In my best Forest Gump, "I ain't got no hair, Tom."
  8. You have given some idea of the meeting. I remember spooning being mentioned.
  9. You may find some helpful products here. http://acme.com/catalog/acme.html#:~:text=ACME is a worldwide leader, set the standard for excellence.
  10. After rereading that, I shouldn't drink whiskey during the week.
  11. @98Z5V is a real, normal guy. I have met him. At the same time, he is the best friend you have yet to meet. He will give you anything he has to offer and let virtual strangers stay at his house without question. He can also be your worst enemy. If you are an ass, he will call you on it and not let you get away with it. He has the most knowledge of the AR platform of anyone I know. That may be because I have not met @mrraley though. He still needs to make it to a shoot with us one day.
  12. Welcome to the forum.
  13. @Rsquared, Susan and I have made 40th anniversary plans in 2029-30. That should give them time to get the bugs out. Are you in? I wonder if we can have a spring shoot up there? www.washingtonpost.com/travel/2021/03/03/space-hotel-orbital-assembly/%3foutputType=amp It's probably as close to Star Trek as we'll get.
  14. If it is an AR15 carbine tube, it will be 7 inches internal depth. You will need a 2.5" buffer at 5.4 oz. If it is Armalite AR10 carbine buffer tube length, it will be 7 9/16" deep and a 3.25" buffer at 5.4oz will work. The buffer spring may cause a problem as there is no "standard" 308 buffer spring. If it is a rifle buffer spring, you will likely have problems with a carbine buffer tube (more appropriately called the receiver extension)
  15. I bet the reason the nozzle wouldn't go in is because she drives an electric car.
  16. I have 2 different BCA products. One is an 18 inch complete 450 Bushmaster upper that shoots well. I don't have enough ammo to really test it though. The other is a 16 inch 223 Wylde barrel that I built into a lightweight AR for my wife. She was able to hit an 18x36 target at 600yds with 73g match ammo regularly. Yes, some of their barrels have issues with accuracy, but I would have no problem buying another. They have an MOA guarantee and have had (pre-pandemic) great customer service.
  17. Welcome to the forum.
  18. I'm not sure how to take that statement. A happy ending after wrenching on it? ☺️
  19. Awesome job Jim! . Glad she is running well.
  20. Then a 2.5 buffer is correct. It just needs to be heavier. What are the specs on the spring, relaxed length and number of coils?
  21. Trash that buffer. It is too light. You need one that is approximately 5.4oz. What is the internal depth of the receiver extension (buffer tube)?
  22. Welcome to the forum. What is your prospective range? A 16 inch rifle will easily reach 600yds+ on a target. Responsible hunting distance is a different story. Your skill plays into that.
  23. Does @Lonewolf McQuade know you've been holding out on him?
  24. You will get plenty of smoke flavor in the first 5-6 hours.
