I asked PSA, via email, 11-08-14, about the issue of compatibility with their upper and a DPMS type lower. I got a reply yesterday. Hello, Thank you for contacting Palmetto State Armory! Unfortuantly we can not guarantee that our AR10 parts will fit properly or function with another manufactures products. Their web site only shows complete uppers for 5.56. They have .308 parts and complete rifles, but no .308 complete uppers.

I thought I was out of luck trying to find the Magpul 20 rd >308 magazines. I went to DSG Arms and ordered 8 on backorder and 5 weeks later they arrived in the mail. Yes; I have one on a Bushmaster MOE .308. It does reduce the recoil and the adjustable cheek rest is great. Just pop off the old carbine stock and slide the Mako over the buffer and gtg. Well, I am an "Old People". Sometimes we look at life a bit differently than our children. I also worked in heath care, hospitals and clinics, for over 30 years. I have been around many patients and my own relatives at the end of life. 1. With our aches, pains and long term illnesses, death with dignity is way more important the lingering or laying in a bed until the end. 2. Many of us don't trust the whole medical care system. We are treated like meat. We know that the doctors only get paid when they do procedures. Many of the tests are painful and overly expensive. Medicine is a huge business, whether private or government. The docs I worked with earned at least a million per year. Making a medical decision affecting a family member based on just on economics, though, is wrong. Anyhow, this is one opinion from a genuine old fart.

Hi, 6shooter. I just put one o my Bushmaster MOE, yesterday. It slides right over the buffer tube. I haven't shot with it on though. I have to go out of town for a couple of weeks. So, a function test will have to wait.

I just registered here and am very happy to be here. I am retired and enjoy living here in paradise. Have and shoot a variety of.308s, including those from H&K, Vector, Sako, Savage and of course Bushmaster (MOE and ORC). I also am a member of many good forums and can appreciate the style and content of this one.
