So- I did buy in on some squares at the office...can't pass up a completely random chance at winning money. One of the guys in my department drew the 2/2 spot. Bummer we thought...that's an almost impossible combination. Bastard won $65.

Hey...there's always a good deal to be had on a used traeger....maybe. Edit to add: it's only been dropped once.

If I had to do it again, I probably wouldn't go traeger. There are a lot of variations out there. I hope more of them are doing like the Chef Mate does and have a pull-slide on the bottom of the pot to dump the ash. It cuts down time between vacuuming it out. I think they have a dump on the hopper as well which makes it easier to switch wood types. I have the $900 version traeger...can't remember the name. It was the biggest they had without adding the extra racks. The racks would be worth it. I e had two pretty big turkeys side by side in mine and saw a video where a guy was doing 32 pounds of pork butt easily.

I'm a little late to help out...I was going to share this flowchart to help you troubleshoot the issue.

I've got a 4-16x vortex FFP on my bolt gun that ran around 800. Might have been 750, might have been $850. Illuminated reticle works nicely, pretty clear. Probably not all that much better than the PA scope, but fit what I wanted to spend. If you really want to go up to around $800, shop that range and you can always move that scope to a another rifle down the road if you decide you need to spend more. There are some damn nice (and expensive) scopes out there. The guys who really know what they're doing and what they're after probably love them. It would be a waste for me. I'm not all that good.

I kinda like where she was headed. "Teaching men not to rape" is super easy. We'll start in kindergarten and make sure we thoroughly re-enforce it through the 12th or 16th grade...(whatever grade it is we'll call daycare that watches your kids til they turn 26)....then, if one does still rape, we'll enroll him in therapy sessions where we can work out the details about whey he didn't get it the first couple hundred times. Or we could just throw the death penalty at rape cases. Only downside to that would be teaching certain women that filing rape charges can't be used to "un-slut" oneself when she made a bad choice. Some people. Sheesh.
