Yes , that will be fine , but make some test loads to see how they shoot . Here is a 4064 load I shot the other day with my new Barrel mounted Chronograph . I may have to retest all my loads with this new device . 168 gr. SMK / LC brass/18" Barrel 42.5 gr. IMR 4064 Avg. Vel. - 2628 fps ES - 15 fps SD - 5 fps

I had a chance to use this Chono the other day & with the Brake I had on there on the 18" barrel , I had to move it out on the Brake farther then I would have thought , but after I moved it , I quit getting error messages & it worked quite well . So much easier then my std Chronograph to set up .

I'm in for another 308 BCG & a M16 type & as with 98 , I would like a NIB Carriers with Nitrated Bolts . I also need a Master parts kit . The Nitrated Bolt is surprisingly easy to clean.

Or you shoot yourself or someone accidentally .

Looks like every thing on the Bolt is OK ,might be the Extractor is holding the spent case too long , not sure at this time .I disassembled the Bolt & found nothing out of the ordinary , but did find some carbon on the inside of the Bolt Carrier where the gas rings seat . Since this is a used BC , I thought it was just discoloration inside from heat ( Chrome DPMS BC ) , but it was a build up of carbon , had to be scraped off & now the Bolt's gas rings feel & work better , which may have been the problem with Ejection . Barrel had some green come out of it in the first several patches with cleaner( not copper solvent ) on them , but cleaned up pretty easy . Nice & shinny in there after cleaning . Will test next week , with more test loads , may put them in the Reloading section & compare the three Barrels with the same loads .

Did you get another Bolt to try ?

Someone should have told Geissele that . <laughs> I can see the lawyers having a say in that decision for a company , I think all factory Triggers are set high for that reason & there may be some logic to it .

I know the 25's are Gen 3 , at least the ones I have are , the 10's , depends on when they were bought , the new ones read Gen. 3 . They had to make more room for the heavier bullets , tis why the will have a problem fitting some Receiver . -
The CMMG Lower with the Lancer & the 25rd. PMags feed with out a hitch , but I did have some failure to Eject , all with the 155 gr. Nosler Match loads & they are not light loads , maybe on the high side because there was slight cratering of the primer , not too flat but it was spread out a little . I had five total with the 155's , but none with the 168's , though to be fair ,I shot about 75 155's & about 20 168's , but I'm thinking this Bolt is still tight in the Carrier & may be some of it . I may use my other Bolt to see if that makes a difference , next time out . I am going to do a complete cleaning & inspection . I have built a lot of AR's & never had a problem with Ejection , that I can recall , but will see how the Ejector looks like , when Bolt is apart . every thing works the way it should . Had a 30-40 mph gusting wind & it shows on the grouping , one was a good group the rest , not so , but the rifle has potential , the Criterion Barrel seems to do its part , its me that is the problem . <dontknow> First group in the center I had no data , # 1 group is top left , # 2 is top right , # 3 is bottom left , # 4 is bottom right & # 5 is center bottom , with the aiming point at the bottom of the center line . Some Chronograph results with the 18" Criterion Barrel , just some data for my records , I was shooting the rifle to break it in , since I'm having problems with it at this time . Three strings of the same load , first one was still trying to get the new Magnetic chromo to read & finally found its position on the Barrel for it to read , with out errors messages . Case Bullet Powder chg.wt. Powder Avg. Vel. ES SD Primer make # 1 LC 155Match 43.2 Tac 2678 fps 20fps 14 fps CCI ( five shot ) # 2 LC 155 Match 43.2 Tac 2683 fps 34 fps 11 fps CCI ( five shot ) # 3 LC 155 Match 43.2 Tac 2664 fps 61 fps 23 fps CCI ( five shot ) # 4 LC 149 M80 42.8 ? 2773 fps 18 fps 9 fps ? ( only three shots ) # 5 FC 168 SMK 42.5 4064 2628 fps 15 fps 5 fps Fed. ( five shot ) Note , the Powder charges with the Tac were charged with my Redding micrometer Powder measure & I checked a lot & all were exactly 43.2 gr. .This barrel is also new so they may get better after a higher round count .

All the Lancers functioned in the CMMG as far as feeding , I did have a few Failures to eject , can't blame that on the mag , because the 25 RD PMag had one also & the 25 rd. PMags also feed with out a problem .( see info & Chrono results in the Build section of SS Build )

Wel , if you not getting it , I'm not playing any more & don't care . <lmao>

Does the name start with a " G " ? Can I buy a Vowel ? <laughs>

Hope the JB weld holds , that's not really a high impact area , normally , so it shouldn't be a problem . Nice to have good tooling around <thumbsup>

I have two also of the 25 rounders & they fit fine in all my 308AR's , but the Gen. 3 ,20's don't . That's what I find strange , they are all Gen. 3's . The first Gen.'s are fine also . -

With my most recent experience with the 20 rd. Gen 3 PMags I have , that are so tight in the Mag well , you have to use your whole hand to pull them out & both malfunctioned , I would not want to try another that might be the same way. I like mine to drop free , but I could see if the speed of a mag drop would not be a problem in a concealed static position . I would think the tightness would be fore & aft , would not pose as much of a problem as the pressure on the sides ,like my 20rd. Gen. 3 Pmags ,that are not reliable . Still have not heard back from Magpul , if they don't contact me by Friday , I'm calling to bitch. -
That's Pretty cool , but they don't have to worry about " JAWS " getting them , like the wave rider <laughs> That's the first I heard of Water cross , neat stuff !
-
Like you said , if there's a blemish on them , I can't tell . Maybe since they are called clear , they are more translucent , but still clear to me <dontknow> Another good thing , the measurement of the Cartridge on the right side of the Mag is 0.435" above the Lower Receivers Deck ,With mag seated , that makes it higher then a DPMS Mag , that works in with this Receiver , will find out at the range tomorrow . Hight point of follower is on the right , as is the Pmag . Not a clear photo of the rear of the mag . Disassembled Drain hole at the bottom of spring has a switch for dusty ( closed ) or wet ( open )

I like that profile more than my 16" HB . I like the .750 gas block , I have a clamp on .936" & its kinda large . -
He had ski's on the thing , I want to see him do it with out them <lmao>

Made for heavy Bullet Sniper ammo ? -
Those people spent a lot of time on those tests , not something I would jump right into. I'm still testing 308 AR Barrels of different lengths , with different Bullet ,Powder , Primer combo's & have been at it or two years . I just got a 18" bbl. for the testing & at least I have most of the Powder /Bullet/Primer loads determined , but they all have to be tested in a18" bbl. now . A test like they did , on a 308AR platform , would have to not only test the Muzzle device , but its effects with different Bullet weights .

Damn Tease , are you worried we are going to bid against you <laughs>
