Shotguns have to be plugged to hold only two rounds , now the rifles , I'll have to look into it , but its probably the same . Doesn't effect me I'm single shot with my NEF . <thumbsup>

I got back on & the Rail is in my cart , but now shows out of stock , Fuk them , I'm pissed , Bastiges <lmao> ,going have to check my CC to see if they charged it , because it went all the way , but went to that message .

MechArmor Defense Systems was coming out with a Titanium Firing pin & there may be others . Any weight reduction of a moving component like the Hammer will increase its speed & lower its lock time , One would assume .

They got a good blem sale going on , but I keep getting " bad Gateway " even after I had all the info in , now I can't even get on to their sight WTF , must be too many on it & it crashed . Hell I tried to get an SSA in my cart for $ 110.00 & it was still there but kept getting the same message , then when I got to the Trigger to order it , it was out of stock WTF , I'm pissed . I still have one of their modular Hand guards in my cart & all the info , but can't get to their sight . <dontknow> Now it reads their server is down for repairs <laughs>

Largest caliber I can find for a Rossi is 454 Casull .

I use the Aluminum oxide from brownells , I get it in the twin pak of 600 & 800 , wash off with soap & water & light oil parts or components afterwards, if needed . You can reconstitute with water if it gets too thick on you . Will not impregnate into metal .

Its mainly no Bottle neck cartridges , the 45-70 & the others do have a slight taper to them , I think 45-70 goes from 0.495" at the base of the wall ( not the rim ) to 0.480" at the neck . I think its just the terminology ODNR uses for the masses . I'll have to look up the list . Hay, its a big improvement from a Shotgun slug . I can't wait to sling some Buff bullets at them Deer cong ! <thumbsup>

I even have a foam interior hard case to put it in , I just have to cut out some foam for fitment & will add a photo of it after I'm done .

Well said & thats what it really comes down to , with both types of Handguns <thumbsup>

Just that Marlin is too rich for me , that 16" Trapper . I haven't looked at the Rossi's, but will, I didn't know they made one in 45-70 <dontknow> .Like I said, I'm happy with my NEF 45-70 , going to give it a try this year . <thumbsup>

Nice Rifle . The 18" Barrel isn't going to do much more for you , the 16" will work just fine. Some like a single point some like a two point , I have both , but more two point . Depends on what conditions you are using the rifle for. An A2 stock will require a new Receiver Extension, Buffer & Spring , but I'm not really sure if they use the Armalite system or DPMS or their own , others may know here.

Damn & I blew my spending wad on a new Chronograph , that is a good deal . Good score .

Did you have to go to a 34mm scope after lapping the rings all night <laughs>

Where's the ATV"s , they don't show in the Photo's <lmao>

Not sure what you guy's are agreeing with or not agreeing with . Its a simple fact that it takes great deal of time to master a semi auto firearm for concealed carrie , for a new to firearms person , the revolver is pull the trigger & it goes off . Try that with a student & put a low power load or a dummy round in the Mag.& see what happens , The stove pipe is easy to set up , it goes bang , bullet exits the barrel, but they have no idea how to clear it & a put dummy round in there , they try to pull the trigger again & that my friends is deadly to them in a stressful situation . No one said to use full power loadings for a first time shooter , you use a 22 cal. or reduced power loads with light bullets . My wife is a competent shooter , she has shot everything from a 1919A4 belt fed to a Mini Mac380 , to every 44 mag I own , its her choice as it would be for anyone who carries , she shoots semi autos , but feels more competent in a stressful situation to carrie a small light weight revolver . You don't need a fifteen shot mag. for self defense , look up how many shots are normally shot in a confrontation , yes if you have more ammo , more will get shot, that doesn't mean they are needed . I don't push any firearm on any one because its ultimately up to them what they feel comfortable with , the revolver is easy to train with & as said if they want to go with a semi auto after they feel comfortable with shooting , I will show them that , along with clearing drills . <thumbsup>

Unit cam in today & I have to say for $ 180 , there isn't much there , but its the software , sensor & R&D we are paying for so its all that matters . I knew even before I ordered it , the fitment on my 16" HB with rifle gas system would be a challenge . Not much past the Gas Block hanging off to strap this thingy on , not to mention the Barrel steps down from .936" . Attaching the Bayo to the Barrel & Brake , leaves it pointing at an upward angle ( lean in ) & from the instructions, may show incorrect readings . So , with a double shim of 1/16" Teflon Gasket material it seemed to level it out & will test tomorrow . I have some new Material around & will cut a piece thats not been used . I use this material because it will not melt ( used to use it for Steam Flange Gaskets ) & when tightened against a part , it won't move or mare the Part . There are no ports at the bottom of the Smith Enterprises Brake , so no worries about muzzle blast under it .

I recommend wheel guns to all new people wanting to have a carrie gun , when they have no experience with firearms . They can always gain experience with semi auto firearms a their leisure until they become proficient enough to carrie them . My wife carries a wheel gun , she used to pack my Colt 4" King Cobra , I put a stop to that when I got an Air weight S&W , & she was very happy with the weight difference . <thumbsup>

Yes I do , but just like the Colt Python , its not going to happen at the prices they will go for . A couple of my fellow hunters in Ohio have went to the Browning in 450 Marlin , the brownings have a Box Mag. , interesting cartridge & rifle . Big $$ too . Sure is nice Ohio is letting you use a Straight wall rifle cartridge now , not that the rifled slug barrels in shotguns didn't work well, but the 12 gage Sabo round has its limitations . I have been stretching my DSG out to it max range the last couple of years with 150 + yard shots . Now with the 45-70 , 200+ is doable . <thumbsup>

I believe we were talking about subsonic 308 ammo & the combo of it & shorter barrels <dontknow>

Nice , I have to order a Bolt for my new Barrel thats on the way , when I get a chance . Life keeps getting in the way .
