  1. 3 #'s , now I'm really glad I will never pay that much for a scope . I'm sure its worth it though . <thumbsup>
  2. Well said , Roy .
  3. There are reasons to install an Adj. gas block , could be the gas system length. I prefer to make adj. to the buffer system , spring & or buffer . I have never worried about where the spent brass goes , as long as it gets out of the way of the next round thats being fed into the chamber , but thats just me .
  4. Well , I guess I do not need to continue my testing between my 16" & my 20" HB's . I was going to try to prove something , but its already been proven . Oh well, I guess I will just have to test for my other reasons for testing. <thumbsup> <laughs>
  5. Well I'll settle for any pricing at this time . <laughs>
  6. I see I missed this some how & wished I had seen it earlier . It never ceases to amaze me how shooters come on a 308 , AR Forum & use there experiences with a completely different platform & compare them . Its an AR , we don't use 32" barrels , not even close , nobody cares how a 32" barrel performs , because we will never install one ! Since this is about 308 AR's ,most if not all comparisons will be between the barrels designed for them , not some telephone pole rifle . Its like posting in a 308 thread about ballistics & not saying its a .50 cal. you are talking about , on purpose , WTF
  7. Matt It made it to 11 posts , is that some kind of record ? <lmao>
  8. My other Panhead is kick only ( 48 motor in a 58 swing arm frame ) & I'm selling them because they just sit there & seems like every year when I get a wild hair , I go to start them & no matter if I drain the gas or put crap in the gas , I have to disassemble the Carb. & clean it to get them to run right , just tired of playing around with them . One thing i haven't tried yet is the enzyme by Star bright , read good things about it , but I think its time to pass the torch on to a younger person who will get out & ride them as they should be , instead of Museum pieces . I will keep my 2003 Ultra , my Cadillac of HD's . I can tell you this much , this Stroked 65 is a hot rod , not comparing it to a rice grinder , but it will hold its own against its kind . Cam on the right is the new Andrews cam
  9. 308 upper , lower & hand guard , I haven't picked out a hand guard yet , but have the upper & lower . You can PM me if you don't want the others to know my special pricing <lmao> I would use black BUIS or MBUS on that upper.
  10. Nice & I even like the color !
  11. That may be a long answer ,there are so many bullet types out there & pretty much weight will have something to do with bullet configuration , not to mention bullet composition. ( like solid copper or what ever ) The way I look at it , you have to try multiple manufacturers , bullet types & weights , to see what shoots the best , there is no one magic bullet combo that will work in all barrels twist rates.
  12. I think I have all the leaks fixed , new S&S oil pump & all weak spots show up . Just changed cam to an Andrews BH grind , from The Crane 300H that I had in there . I had 200 # ccp & the BH grind got me down to 180# ccp , Kicks a little easier , but still a beast even with my 6'2" 240 # s putting to it , also has a high amp electric starter that is the main way of starting. First year for Electric leg & last year for the Panhead motor . 1965 & no , its not stock. And, Its now for sale, too much to list , you can PM me for spec's if interested. I didn't want to put this in the for sale section , has nothing to do firearms , if this is wrong , please feel free to move it . <laughs> I see I have a smudge on my lens.
  13. Reverse Psychology ?
  14. Oh, Doooooo !
  15. Sounded like the rider was playing with throttle or had a clutch problem or maybe tire breaking loose when gassing it . Maybe all of the above .
  16. Still waiting for pricing from someone <dontknow> <laughs>
  17. I carrie a PM 45 & it has a smooth DAO trigger & yes very stiff recoil spring , probably why the instruction read to charge the first round with the slide locked back , not sure what comparison that has on the MK9 . I just know I paid a lot for the PM45.
  18. Well , good luck in getting back on track , I like what I have purchased from Shadow Ops. & I will be needing more parts soon .
  19. I may be off base with this ,but the math doesn't add up . It reads 31,672 incidents ,most were sell defense & then it reads lower that 200,000 women use a gun against sexual abuse , now don't those count as Incidents ? Or are they considered a different category.
  20. That Carrier Key looks like its hitting the gas tube . Make sure the Carrier Key screws are tight & staked correctly ,
  21. We are talking about a 6.5 Creedmooe & that cartridge has a completely different configuration then a 308 , steeper angles , long bullets. Altering & polishing the feed ramps may help , but I stay away from all soft point bullets in AR's , only takes one time for a piece of lead tip to jam up the rifle . The marks on the brass are from the locking lugs on the barrel extension & the shaved lead from the soft point could be from the feed ramps or locking lug area or chamber face. The dent in the brass in the one photo looks like the bolt closed on it . The light weight bullet ammo may work better as the rifle breaks in or could be just light powder charge .
  22. All the above & try different brands of ammo , it could be just the loading in the ammo. Strange it groups like that . Usually when something is loose , its all over the place & you can't keep any kind of group ,but very large ones. Could be something inside the scope itself , but then it would do the same with all ammo used. This is a very strange issue.
  23. You can also tell if someone screwed with the calibration . I used to catch people all the time ( " well somebody moved it " ) <laughs> Not me , not me !
