  1. Got my sight tool in today & must admit its more impressive then I would have thought . It is heavy & well made , I can't wait to try it out . I have some sights coming , but I need to adj. both my Sig's .
  2. LaRue has them onside again for Labor day. http://www.larue.com/larue-tactical-tac?mc_cid=ea146c0a53&mc_eid=f9d1a991a7
  3. The TFX & TFX Pro's are a better sealed sight then the TFO's from what I have been reading , mostly about Chemical's from cleaning solutions . The Cheapest I could find were from Optic's Planet for $ 108 & free shipping & they were shipped the same day as I ordered them . Impressive ! Thats right , buy Her more guns
  4. I use my Dremel tool with a cut off disk , it makes short work out of the brass . I have a couple of hundred factory 300 BLK brass now ,(along with my cut LC brass ), thanks to the Range brass picker upper . I will not be cutting any more , besides , I need all the LC for my 25-45 Sharps , which don't need to be cut at all .
  5. Hard to tell about the ammo , shoot at your own risk , but I think it will be fine . Its pressure or atmospheres of pressure under water that will determine if it compromise the ammo with water or moisture . The Steel cased should have a sealer on the case to prevent corrosion . I would be more worried about corrosion & having the case chamber with head space issues .
  6. Anything in the TFO class of sights have to be better then whats on my stock M&P Shield. I don't plan on replacing the stock Night Sights on my Sig's , they are like a normal sight in the day time , which I'm used to , but man , I'm not used to see sights like these in the dark , I love it .
  7. Just what I wanted to hear , you never know about the reviews you read . I'm putting them on my M&P Shield & if I like them , I will install them on a couple other Pistols that I also carry , from time to time . My two new Sigs are the only Pistols I have ever had with night sights , this will be different .
  8. I ordered a set of the Trueglo TFX Tritium/Fiber Optic sights for my carry gun & the Wheeler Engineering Armorers singh tool , to adj. & replace sights. The Took has already shipped . Both my new Sig's were shooting pretty far left & I know it wasn't all me , three different weight bullets & four different brands of ammo , including Hand Loads .poop was off the Target @ 20-25 yards , even I'm not that bad , not being able to hit a broad side of a Barn , came to mind . http://www.truglo.com/firearms-handgun/brite-site-tfx-pro-handgun-sights.asp?catid=E5FDB84FE8F74C239330C1841BDD3D5E http://www.btibrands.com/product/armorers-handgun-sight-tool/
  9. So almost two years in the making , you have to have a sweaty trigger finger by now . Just make sure there are no hidden Burr's inside the Lower Receiver where that Bolt Stop works . Make sure you check that hole for the Bolt Stop Buffer & Spring also .
  10. https://lucasoil.com/products/out-door-line/extreme-duty-gun-oil
  11. I didn't know it , but I got a free sample of this oil with my Sig M11 . The little packet was jammed into the same place as the GunLock in the case . Going to compare it to the 98 special I have
  12. Damn , I knocked over my test loads for the 5.56 loads that I was going to test in the two 16" bbl's & they mixed up when the lid opened , now I have to load some more of the same to test . I tried to weigh them , but it was inconclusive as to what was what , they were too close , Damn!
  13. PSA . Not sure of the new second gen. but they have a lot of proprietary components & some fitment issues have been reported . I always recommend on the 308AR platform , to use the same Manufacturers Upper & lower Receivers & now maybe even the same Generation Receivers . Look around , there are several; Builds where someone mated DPMS Uppers or Lowers with PSA & Had issues .
  14. If they are not changing their product line ( one hopes ) the Billet Upper should still be available , even after the Merger. Unless you think they will change or be more expensive then now . Use shows they have 20 in stock http://www.jsesurplus.com/megaarms-1-2.aspx
  15. Nice job !
  16. Welcome from Florida .
  17. Who cares what they think !
  18. News to me . Maybe a victim of the post O'butthead Firearms bubble era .
  19. As fas as I can tell the Nitrated BCG that I have is holding up well , as is the NIB coated one , but I do like the Chrome ones as well . Thing is , Hard Chrome has been used in AR BCG's ( & Barrel Lining ) for a very long time & I have one thats still in service , a Phosphate Bolt & Carrier with Hard Chrome lining for the Bolt , that I built in the late Seventies , so these other new finishes have a lot to prove. I was skeptical , at first, about the Nitrated Barrels , but they are easy to clean & even the less expensive one I have , seems to shoot good . Maybe even easier to clean then a Chrome lined . Time will tell .
  20. Looks like a Nitrated BCG .
  21. Mine didn't do this .
  22. Those I posted above are long too . I think if they had more groves in them like the ones you show , they would shoot better , if I had a Lathe I would tune som more into some to try it . Barnes went to more Groves a while Back .
  23. Photo of your BCG without the Bolt in it , whats it look like in there ?
  24. Get a free gun bag & two free mag's for the M11-A1 for purchasing it this month . I should get a kiss also for what I paid for the Pistol .
