  1. Thats the ALG HG on my 25-45 Sharps , no other QD on the HG except for the opposite side , of course . The other HG has them at the forward point , as the photo shows & at the back , as with the ALG HG . I just have to see where I like the sling set up , to carry & shoot , I have a all kinds of Slings to try out .
  2. I picked these up today at the Fun Dealer , these are kinda cool , they only pivot in place about 15 Degree's . You can push the release button & pivot them where you want them . All new to me , I have to learn how to set these up , I have a couple of HG's that can use them in different attachment points .
  3. You may need one O-ring , testing will tell , but I have three 308AR's with just the two springs that work fine . Two of them have a couple thousand rounds through them . I've heard good things about the conversion kit for DPMS LR 308 to the GII Extractor & Elastomer Spring .
  4. Probably stick with 9mm , they had all the popular ones , but I didn't want to spend a grand on a Pistol , they had a couple rifles for more then that that I liked , not bad prices ether , actually surprised me . . Nothing but new in this new shop , talk about AR's , very large wall with all kinds of manufacturers & shapes sizes & calibers , fuking candy store , I was in there almost an Hour . They had a FDE Large Frame Aero Receiver set with matching Hand Guard that almost had my name on it , no BCG or BBL.
  5. Sorry to inform you sir , but they are just one of the crowd now a days . I looked at a 308 Stoner today that cost $ 4200 & change ! WTF
  6. Those two Pistols are in my Budget , I liked both of them .
  7. The BCG disassembled show wear , its a Government contract Milspec M16 BCG , no idea how many rounds this has had through the years , I mostly use this rifle for testing , because of the 24" Match Barrel .
  8. P320 or SP 2022 ?
  9. Here's a novel Idea for legislation . http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/07/31/gop-rep-introduces-legislation-to-nullify-state-level-gun-controls/ Then you have this about concealed carry permits holders , only in Commiefornia http://www.breitbart.com/california/2017/07/31/fresno-bee-mayor-who-opposes-concealed-carry-bill-carries-his-concealed-handgun-on-the-job/
  10. He doesn't have any issues with the Buffer Spring he has , its why I asked if he had malfunctions. His concerns of the marks on the Buffer , are not a concern , except for the Burr's on the BC channel making them . No idea why both those manufacturers gave that kind of info . Damn Armalite pushers , you guys won't be satisfied till all 308AR's are made by Armalite
  11. Dump both the O-rings , they are not needed , keep the springs in there & try it . Too strong of tension in Extractor can keep the spent Case on the Bolt Face & not release it or release it to late .
  12. There are some kits out there with over sized Pins for well worn Lowers or its a Typo error .
  13. Poor sales = No one needs them !
  14. They have different Spring spec's . I really don't see what your issue is , down sizing to a lower weight Buffer is not correct if over gassed . How many rounds have been shot through this Rifle ? you will get all kinds of marks on both the Buffer & Bolt when rifle is fired . Any malfunctions ? FTF FTE ?
  15. Is there a Spring set up in the Extractor or just two O-rings ? DPMS type Extractor spring set up is a small spring inside a larger diameter Spring , no O-rings or "D" rings . Are you sure the Gas Block is aligned correctly ?
  16. RCBS AR SB dies , there is a taper crimp on the Seating Die , Lee Die set with their Factory Crimp Die , I'm into Forster Match Die sets now a days . The Forster has a Bullet guide that follows the Cartridge into the Seating die .
  17. I ordered a Magpul one to see how it works out , I'm still skeptical , but trust you guys , why I admitted that I'll never know
  18. If you have issues setting off MilSpec Primers , there are several companies that make stronger Hammer Springs to remedy the issue ( the one piece Modular FCG's may be different ) . Most FCG's don't have the issue , I have & I'm sure some here have more , but I have probably a half doz. different FCG's I've tried in 308 AR's & have not had one issue with setting off primers on Milspec ammo .
  19. Yes , its one of the benefits of a Progressive Flat Wire Spring .
  20. I got Mac 10 Thumb once , it left a mark & I wasn't shy about posting it here , it happens to anyone who actually works on firearms . I have Army vet. gunsmith buddy in Ohio who shot himself in the forearm with a 32 auto , had a live round stuck in the chamber & firearm , little pocket pistol , would not fire or something , he started to disassemble said pistol & this released the Striker & fired the round in the chamber . lucky for him the bullet only went in about a half inch , he could see the bullet & wanted to just remove it because it was just under his skin , but others told him to go to ER & that set a whole other things in motion , like a gun shot wound & LE called by ER personal , normal procedure . Even though he proved he worked at a gun shop & was one of the Smiths , they were obligated to investigate it . We call him shooter at Camp , self inflicted shooter , $hit happens .Lucky thats all that happened , it could have been much worse .
  21. As said above , no AR 15 Buffer components in a 308 . Armalite AR 10 Carbine systems are different , then DPMS based systems . What was this ? Did you change Buffers ?
  22. SpeedLock SystemsTMCWSTM PATENT APPLIED FOR Carrier Weight System for AR15 rifles Installation Note CWSTM fits all quality AR15 bolt carriers, and also the AR-10 and SR-25. CWSTM has been carefully engineered to work with a wide variety of bolt carri- ers. However, there may be an occasional bolt carrier that, due to its machining, may need to have addition- al metal removed from its surfaces. This has nothing to do with the CWSTM. All that is normally required is a careful examination of where the interference occurs and then relieving the obstruction. Normally, this interference comes from the inside edges of the open area on the bottom of the bolt carrier [see photo below]. We recommend (careful) use of a rotary grind- ing tool or a flat file. Do not remove metal from the CWSTM! There will be no reduction or compromise in the function of the CWSTM, the bolt carrier, or the rifle if it is necessary to de-burr the bolt carrier. Do, however, ensure that CWSTM will insert fully into the carrier so there is flush contact with the leading edge of the CWSTM flange. Contact (806) 323-9488 for technical assistance. Instructions and additional information are also pro- vided on-line. Please check www.davidtubb.com or www.zediker.com for the latest updates and informa- tion on CWSTM and other Superior Shooting Systems Inc. products. Something new is always in the works! David Tubb’s Developed by 8-time National High-Power Champion, David Tubb Superior Shooting Systems Inc. 806/323-9488 • 801 N. Second St. • Canadian, Texas 79014 USA • FAX 806/323-9483 CWSTM [carrier weight system] is a patent- applied-for drop-in part that greatly enhances the func- tionality of AR-type firearms in extreme shooting conditions. life from a softer recoil pulse. CWSTM improves rifle function, so there are no worries about extraction or feeding failures. CWSTM in no way affects the amount of gas available to operate the rifle. The addition of weight to the carrier slows its rear- ward start upon action cycling. Technically, it increas- es the moment of inertia, but that simply means that the rifle will stay “locked” a little longer. This additional time reduces the influence of pressures on the cartridge case and also softens rearward carrier movement. The result is much better brass life, fewer “pressure prob- lems,” and greater flexibility in velocities attainable using all bullets — especially the heavier bullets used in High Power Rifle competition. There is also notice- ably less rifle movement during firing and longer parts CWSTM also incorporates a flange that serves to secure it in the carrier, but this also significantly reduces bolt carrier overrun past the bolt stop. This flange is 0.080 inches thick. Reducing the distance the carrier must return to engage the bolt stop extends the life of this part and, again, reduces the amount of rifle movement apparent to the shooter. This, too, has been engineered to work perfectly with the majority of qual- ity parts. There are specific instructions upcoming that will ensure carrier overrun is adequate for use in all rifles. Seems the his Flat wire Spring all accomplishes some of the same things as far as the cartridge remaining in the Chamber a hair longer . I didn't see this product on his web sight .
  23. Check Head Space .
  24. Do they have a DPMS threaded nut available or can't one be made ?
