You have a 308 spring & buffer , depends on how you count the coils , but most are 29 coils & 11 1/4" long , but there could be slight differences .That small difference in sp[ring length & coil count could give you issues because of it may be a weak spring , but its a 308AR Buffer spring as in the photo below , a DPMS Buffer assembly. Wash is correct about the Spring in the Link , it shows an AR 15 Spring .

I formed 40 more 25-45 , cases last night out of once fired LC brass , all need to be trimmed down to 1.750" after forming . I see from the load data that I can go to probably another grain or two on both the H 335 & the X Terminator , so I will work up to close to 28 gr's. with the 87 gr. Speer & 27.5 gr with the 90 gr. Sierra , just to see how the higher Velocities do as far as Groups & ES & SD . So far no need for any Muzzle device , this rifle , in this configuration , has little recoil or Muzzle rise , what it will be like at the higher end of the max loadings , I will find out next week . I do need to Rock set that Thread protector , it was loose after the range session . I will also more the impact point over to the left , seems like all want to shoot a little right of aiming point . Also have to say the G2S is wonderful .

I call BS ! I don't want any CMMG HG 's

It does look like the H 335 & the X Terminator are good choices . I wonder what the results would be with these loadings & you 18" Barrel . The 87 gr. Speer just didn't impress me , but as I said above , not enough testing . I will make some up & start testing with them next week , it is possible some bore fouling could have effected the results at the end of testing , with a new unseasoned Barrel . I looked at the Test Targets a little closer today & their is some good potential with this Barrel , I believe the flyers are all my fault , as usual , there are quite a few groups that have bullets impacts touching each other . I still say the 90'gr. you picked is the way to go . I'm not sure if Sharps had laps their Barrels , but is that needed on their Polygonal Rifling ? I see they have no Barrels in stock & a lot of their ammo is out of stock also .

Looking at the loadings , I need to work on the 87 gr. some more , the 90 gr. , I can go a little more of a charge & the 87 can go more also , but to me with this Barrel max velocity is not going to give the tightest groups . I will work up to max on both Bullets to see where they go . # 7 with H 335 ,has three Bullets in the same hole ! Also has the best ES & SD of the bunch . Not done yet with the H335 & X Terminator, 98 . The WC 846 was shooting good with all loads , it seems , might have to try some with the 87 gr.

I was going to say your fuked , because one is still alive & still in her wedding dress .

Chrono worked great after the sensitivity adjustment , so here be some results . I will post Targets later after I photo them . Light rain , about 10-15 MPH wind at my back & about 80 deg. , five shot groups . Magnetospeed Chronograph. Powder /Charge wt. Bullet Avg. Vel. ES SD # 1 - WC 846 / 25 gr. - 90 gr. 2373 fps 41 17 # 2- WC 846/ 25.3 gr. 90 gr. 2412 fps 73 29 # 3- WC 846/ 25.6 gr. 90 gr. 2469 fps 63 25 # 4 - WC 846 / 26 gr. 90 gr. 2521 fps 51 22 # 5 -X terminator/ 25.2 gr. 90 gr. 2559 fps. 31 13 # 6 - X terminator / 25.6 gr. 90 gr. 2609 fps 42 17 # 7 - H 335 / 25.2 gr. 90 gr. 2593 fps 17 7 # 8 - H335 / 25.6 gr. 90 gr. 2632 fps 33 12 # 9 - H 335 / 26.0 gr. 87 gr. 2666 fps 58 25 # 10 -H 335 / 26.5 gr. 87 gr. 2689 fps 54 20 # 11- X terminator / 27.0 gr. 87 gr. 2728 fps 32 12 I did reach my target FPS with the 87 gr. Bullets , but not too impressed with the grouping , not MOA but not bad & these were shot at the end of the range session , even though I had a few min. cool down , because I picked up the spent Brass & logged data & also logged new data & cleared the Chrono display . Barrel was warm at the end , but not hot . All the Groups with the 90 gr. bullets were really nice , compared to the 87 gr. Bullets , but that may be because I haven't found the right load , but I like the 90's a lot better , the way they performed across the board . No malfunctions of any kind , didn't add any oil ( 98 special ) ,only ran a bore brush down the barrel before starting testing .& judging by the Thunder , I got home , just in time .

Still no mention of the Manufacturer . Wash , you can only be special for so long , you know & you saying they only sell to LEO & your not & got one , says something about that !

This BS Monsoon season is good for the yard & garden , but its getting a little old for my wanting to go to the range to test the loads I have made up for the 25-45 . I'm hoping to get it done tomorrow, but the forecast is not looking good , its been over a week with Monsoon rains every day , we need it but its interfering with my normal shooting every week . I have a long list of loads for the Sharps & 5,56 rounds & I have two scopes to sight in .☔️ The range shooting positions are now all covered , but that won't help my Targets which I need to study, when it rains like this .

Calm down , just showing its out there , you are not being forced to buy any . -
Just confirming , has you issue been failure to feed & now you have a failure to Eject also . OK , your BCG is locking back on last round , correct ? Even when you have this failure to Eject ? You say after about five rounds ? Your photo in your second post shows Failure to Feed , looks like Bolt over & round is being fed with the Bolt Carrier , not the Bolt , that may be a Magazine or Magazine catch or the BCG is no cycling back far enough to properly feed the Cartridge .Try a Steel Mag. DPMS or C Products , a good choice would also be a Lancer L7 . (If you can't find one , I can send you one or a couple of these Brands to test .) We have seen some builds do not like PMags or the Mag. i, may not set high enough in the Mag Well to have the Cartridges to be fed properly . After inspecting & confirming what Buffer system components you have ,Try loading one round in the mag & see if the BCG locks back one just the one round , then two & so forth till the Rifle Fails or you can get through 10 rounds . If you lock back after last round in mag , there is a good chance its not a Gas system or Buffer system issue , But saying that , we have seen some wrong components , even from the big name Venders .Inspect as shown in Washguy's post above . Also the Bolt components should be disassembled inspected , Debris could be in the hole for the Ejector or I have seen short Ejector Springs & also Bad Extractor or too much Extractor spring pressure , holding onto the fired Case longer then it should . Also something you may want to think about if all the above checks out ok , the fact that this is happening when the Chamber is warmed up a little , the Chamber may be too tight or a little rough & holding on to the case a little too long. Use good factory ammo for testing , leave the hand loads for later , if you plan on rolling your own . Inspect all then test fire for effect . You have to be patient , this is difficult trouble shooting from a Computer & it will work out , probably something simple & it may be more then one issue , because you have not had the pleasure of the action working long enough to see them.

I have a good story , in a way its about Ted , in a way , its really about one of his hats . Many years ago when Ted Nugent was first starting with his hunting shows & songs about hunting , a friend of mine got one of his Hats , the one that was like a Zebra , white with black Zebra stripes going through it , he wore that hat at all the Archery matches we participated in & and always at the week long gun Hunt at the Hunt Camp we where we hunted at a friends property in southern Ohio. To Hunt that week , you had to stay the whole week , be it you got a Deer or not , you had to participate in Drives if you got a Deer or stander if you didn't . We always got there the weekend before the opening morning on Monday , so lots of drinking & shooting to sight in . We will cal my friend PP ,( because there is a story behind that also ) PP had the Bunk below me & we all got $hit faced one night & he lost that Ted Nugent Hat, man was he going crazy , he lost his lucky Hat . Well I was making my Bunk up , well just rearanging it , & he must of slid or set that Hat under my pillow . Well nice guys that we were , when I told the property owner , he said , lets fuk with PP , well we hatched a plan , we started leaving notes every where , in his bunk , his Shotgun Barrel , even his tree stand , we asked to see naked photos of his wife , his first born , anything that came to mind ,to get the hat Back , he was Ok with it at first , but when he couldn't get a shot at a deer by the middle of the week , the notes were pissing him off & he was drinking earlier after hunting , making all kinds of threats to anyone who had the hat ,( which made us all laugh harder every time he made threats ) , we finally left the hat in his tree stand before he got into it before first light . He was a changed man & shot a nice Buck that very morning , we owned up to the who thing & by the time the first case of beer was gone , he was telling us how much he loved us guy's

Why couldn't you have a copy of the Barrel nut made with the Armalite spec's ? I say this because , using a different manufacturers Upper on a Armalite Lower , you may have some Tolerance Stacking with fitment . From what has been posted here , there are differences in the "A " & " B" model Armalite Lower & Upper receivers , getting a "A " Model Armalite Upper to match the Armalite Lower would eliminate any Tolerance Stacking & that Nut should be easy for a good machinist to copy with the correct Armalite threads . I bring this up because of all the issues we have seen here with mixed Receivers & there have been many . Good luck

They say the big one is coming to Commiefornia , so that may be possible some day
-
He still has not gave the info on the HG . He must be ashamed of it , I don't care for the Key mod anyway , I don't care if it made of unatainium
