The whole point of my comment of the FOID card is , no matter how many types of Back ground checks or how many times , people ( Humans ) slip through the cracks . You can do a Mental stability check one day & something switches in someones head , be it a Domestic , political , or just fuked up in the head & they go crazy & do something bad or illegal with a firearm , Hammer , Bladed weapon or a car/truck . there is now way you can stop a nut case once they go wacko . You can't drug them to stay sane , you can't counsel them , some people will just go crazy , period .

Some Chrono results below , I can tell you this , with this Barrel ( 20" light ) I will not be buying any more 87 gr. Bullets to lad for it . It could be I haven't found the correct load for that weight , but the 90 gr. Sierra GK's shoot so much better & I had some gusting winds from my left , behind me . The rain held off till I was on the last 5.56 test loads in the 24" Barreled AR & man it came down , I had to fire the last three in a down pour & sprint 100yards to get my Target stand before the Target washed away from it . 25-45 Sharps , COL 2.250" Powder wt/charge bullet avg. I will post the Targets when I photo them , the groups were not as good as I would have liked , but the conditions were different then the last outing . No Malfunctions of any kind with the rifle , all the fired Brass look good , all ejected the to the same place as before .

I bought my 19 the way you see it , well actually , my wife paid for it . We paid $ 300 for the Model 19 about ten years ago , I always wanted to get wood Grips for it , the Model 29 about a year later & then a couple of Colt wheel guns . I passed up a 6" Trooper & wish I didn't .

Ya that Buffer Spring you had was probably a little weak & you may have had multiple issues ,because you did change out other components . Its all good !

They don't want to repeal it , its another way to curb firearm sales , they sure don't care if it reduces crime one little bit & they probably never thought it would to begin with . The only way that will make them want to repeal it is if it starts costing them $$ .

Ya , but that price they want for them is crazy . I'm sure there is a way you can tell if the Grips are original for easy Grips , but the ones I ordered are $ 61 & will work just as good & are from S&W , so unless you are a dated original freak , the new ones are just as good . Those Smooth Grips in the photo above , if your hands get a little sweaty , they can slip a little . Yes , they handle much better , but with out the looks . The Model 29 sure shoots better with them , I should get a set for it , just don't shoot the wheel guns much any more . There are other smooth grips also from other manufacturers that were popular & S&W might have factory ones also . Duty Grips a a little smaller then the Target ones ,like on the Mod. 29 in the Photo. They follow the Frame , where as the Target Grips have some wood out side the Grip Frame . Its good to find out all my Cases Head Spaced out OK with the LE Wilson Case Gage . I was going to load up the X-Terminator with the 87 gr. Speer , but after seeing the Powder level in the case , it would probably be a slight compressed load , so I bypassed the 27.8gr. & 28.1 gr. loadings I'm also going to try the Ramshot X-Terminator with 5.56 loads . I could have went to the Range today , but had to get some paper work together for House Refi. . Its been a Monsoon again this week .Hopefully tomorrow morning . Got brass ready to go, Forming more this week , once I get the load down pat , I have some already with Bench rest primers after I know the loads for the two Bullets , not sure if the Bench Rest Primers will make a difference , but what the hell .

I just ordered a new set of wood factory grips for my Mod. 19-3 from Brownells , they always seem to be out of stock when I look for them at S&W . They want too much $$ for an original set from that time frame & I don't think there is a difference anyway . I like the Pachmayr's, but like the Wood looks much better , will still probably shoot with the Rubbers though & I want it to be like its bigger brother , 29-3. This Mod. 19 Target has the recess in the Cylinder for the Base of the Cartridge , don't see too many around like that .

The Dumbass Governor ( Clinton butt buddy ) first said we have too many guns & this is why this can happen , then said we have 93 million people lost because of gun violence a day , WTF , someone in the reporters said thats not right & then he had to correct himself that it was 93 people a day . The MF'er was walking away & was going to leave it at that 93 million number , what an a$$hole ! Not enough info on this as of yet , fog of war , so to speak . One witness said he saw the shooter ( 55-65 year old looking ,white male ) standing behind a wooden structure shooting what he described as an AK 47 ( because he plays video games ) with a curved mag . they say the shooter had a mass amount of extra ammo , all this is from witness reports , but we need to wait till this is figured out before we know for sure . One Congressman said a man walked up to him before the shooting started & asked if there were Republicans or Democommie's were on the field , & he answered , Republicans . So, if thats the case , you can make the argument that the Main stream news media ( propaganda machine ) is part to blame for fanning the flames of the left wing democommie party . But as said , not enough info yet , to say anything for sure . Waiting for a press conference .

I carry cross draw , I do have to rearrange the rig when doing some things , because I even carry mowing the lawn or washing the Truck etc.
