If Gas system is Chrome plated , lubricant is not required or necessary . Any thing used will just help gum up the system prematurely .

How about some measurements then , Distance or thickness of your finished lower Receiver at the Mag Latching system ? Need to know if there is difference in your finished product & a DPMS LR Lower Receiver , I have two to compare to. If you have the Mag release Button tightened all the way to the end of the threads , Spring Pressure on the Mag Catch will make it difficult to insert a mag , with out depressing the Button . Not to mention if the Specs are not correct & it being over tightened , it may not be able to move enough to allow insertion of a Mag. Some over travel of the Latching system going on , usually it just an adjustment issue , but I don't think that is whats going on here with yours . Need more info & I've never seen a PC that you couldn't down load Photo's on , you have an Email , as you said , have a friend take some photos & Email them to you & if you have to ,as you have said . Just trying to help, I find this issue interesting on many levels .

Well this issue showed up yesterday tumbling 60 7mm08 brass , black greasy film on the brass . I accidentally went over the normal 3hr. tumbler time by about an hour & a half , pretty sure that had nothing to do with it . i degreased the brass after Sizing , the only thing I didn't do was clean the Tumbler Barrel that had been used with Walnut media , but I can't see how that would have anything to do with it . Maybe I didn't clean all the Sizing Lube off , but man , that crap was ugly . I cleaned the Black film off with degreaser & it took two washings to get that $hit off , using a parts brush . Two things , One - not sure if this has anything to do with it , because this only happens , once in a long while , is my Tumbler is about forty years old & made for Rock Polishing , so it has been trouble free for all this time . I've been wanting a new one , but its not been an issue . Two - I'm changing my Sizing Lube , maybe this is the issue . What gets me is I use the same formula , same procedure , every time . I make a point not to deviate from it because of this , maybe I'll get more aggressive with the cleaning of the Lube , maybe Acetone , may be cheaper to change Sizing Lube . This is just crazy !

I like my 9MM Shield , I carry it daily , but will not buy another S&W , the PPKS was recalled & had to go back twice , the Shield was recalled two weeks after I got it . It shoots good though & I believe in it , other wise I wouldn't depend on it with my life , but no more S&W 's. I carry the Shield more then my PM 45 anymore .

Ain't reloading fun ! It will be another week before I get the rest of the Reloading supplies ( Bullets, 87 gr.) & Rifle length gas tube , Hand Guard . I will be getting the Brass ready this weekend , I have some 308 to Anneal along with the 5.56 LC brass. I also have a lot of PMC .223 brass , once fired , I might use instead .

How does it do with out a Suppressor on ? As far as comparing , the rifles you are comparing , is the same ammo being used in all of them ? Same Suppressor ? Same Barrel length ? We already know they have different Gas Systems . Sig should make it right , even if you have to send your Ammo lot & the Suppressor with it to them for evaluation , some paper work involved with the Suppressor , but if you like the rifle & plan on keeping it , its a worth while investment in time .

Hard to compare different systems , in different rifles . Have brought this up to Sig Sauer , new rifle , i think they want to make it work to spec's , 20 rds. & its that dirty ? Unburnt , dirty Powder sounds like a possibility , find the right ammo , thats faster & cleaner burning , as you have hinted at & may be all the rifle needs . Whats the round count ?

It was my measurement or should I say that Bolt length was recorded correctly , but not posted correctly , doooo! , Its 2.927", I changed all the measurements I could .

Barrel has shipped , I watched the $$ go from my account , but there was no transaction from my Account with SRC , so I called , not to check on the progress , but make sure it was ordered , I talked to " Vicki " , nice person , great help & quick info too , said it already shipped & will be here Monday & I ordered a Die set today . I decided to just get the Hand Guard I want instead of using the 12" I have , same color , BLK , but an inch or so short from what I want for this " Hunting Rifle " I have the other parts in my cart .

OK , so it is a AR 10A component , I wasn't sure because I purchased it so long ago . I still would like to see some photos of the posters set up , From what I am reading into his issue , pushing the Mag release Button in , the Mag Catch protrudes past the raised area that keeps it in alignment or guide & it is loosening up . A longer shaft will not help in that situation , but with out photos to see what his set up looks like & how far the Button is being pushed to make this issue happen , hard to say . That AR10A Mag Catch assembly is worth it .

I have another DPMS BCG & a SI Defense NIB one to look at . Why I say its Odd & I'm sure you noticed it , that DW Bolt is the same length as the Spring loaded Ar 10 , maybe my measurement is wrong, I will look later this evening .

It doesn't take much to cause an issue , may not show up right away or could cause a fitment issue . The locking of the Bolt & how it engages with the Barrels Extensions Locking Lugs , 0.020" is a lot & may also cause Head Space issues . Just not worth it in my experience to mix this stuff up . Some of the measurements between the DPMS & D.Wilson's BCG , could be why some of his BCG's don't work in all DPMS type's , I know I had issues as have others , like I said , it doesn't take much .

Sounds like your Lower Receiver is out of Spec . Fixing it is still going to give you other issues , you can extend the Threads & trim ( if needed ) the Catch Threaded shaft , so the Release Button can be threaded in more on the shaft, to keep the Mag Catch with in its operational parameters , but this will also make it more difficult to insert a Mag. with out depressing the Mag release Button , to do so. You should not have to depress the Mag release Button in farther then flush with the receiver . You may be able to make the ramp on the Mag Catch steeper , so as to allow the magazine to slip in a little easier . If you look at the Mag Catch , it will have a lead into the Pad itself to help with inserting the mag. The AR 10 ( Armalite ) Mag Catch has a longer Shaft & a larger Pad area , compared to the DPMS LR308, I believe its the "B " model Catch . Not sure it will help your situation . It sounds like Your Receiver width or the Mag Catch well is to short . How about some Photo's .Take some measurements & I will take some off one of my DPMS Lowers & Mag Catches . I also have a AR 10 Mag Catch as you can see .

Once fired .223 ? if your using PMC , that is one of the heaviest brass .223 cases , the Russian brass was the heavy weight of those cases I weighed .Might be an issue if you are going for max. charge weight , as far as case volume . I plan on Annealing the once fired LC brass I plan on using , will get some new LC brass or they sell 25-45 Sharps on their sight & some are reconditioned . We are doing the reconditioned , I still want to get some of their factory ammo for comparison reasons . My reloading is a bit away , be good to see your range results . I shot for many many years with out a Chrono. , it is a very good tool that doesn't rely on math & makes things much quicker to dial in or confirm the math .It always comes down to what the Barrel likes .

I see some differences & can say I would not use a AR 10 BCG in a DPMS & or a DPMS in an AR 10 . I'm guessing the Barrels Extensions are a little different also , no matter what works or not .

Barrel ordered , going on my Multi cal. BRO Receiver set ( Norguard Upper ), which is complete except for Barrel & Hand Guard , I have a 12" HG , but want to cover the Gas Block on this Build , something I don't do , so the 12" will do till I get a 13" or 15" , not sure I want one too long , its not a race gun .

I will order Reloading stuff next week , I will probably order the same 90 gr. Bullets you have & some of the Speer 87 gr. , even though I don't like lead tipped Bullets . I might even order some loaded ammo for comparison .
