Im here for ya Lets do this....we cant have that awesome one of a kind Mega Monolithic with its sleek, kewl,functional rail and that stoopid chunk of a gas block half azz hangin out......so lets get the Rainier match barrel middy gas....and then lets build another 308 using a rail .....say a troy trx battlerail that should cover the gas block on the kreiger in a new build? <laughs> you and I both know you cant have the gas block out there on a monolithic....the mega police will come for ya <laughs> Hell....just one 308 wont do either ! see....once again problemo solved! <thumbsup> Wash

Hi Uss I know just playin with ya :) I wouldnt give my mono up either,but we gotta get that gas block under the rail sell the Kreiger...get the Rainier ultramatch 18" with the middy gas system......heck you will come out ahead too prolly! ill bet the Rainier will shot as well or better ! they got em in stock too!....you could have your stick all pretty and together by Thursday! :) Wash see.....this IS the place for probelm solving :) Wash

98Z oooopsies...as usual you are correct sir about the 20 moa adjustment on the big monarch I have....took it out today to give it its weekly fondling.....and yes I do have the 20 moa slope nikon cantilever scope mount on it and forgot to mention that critical piece of info in my previuos thread.....cause really the 20moa has to be divided in half actually when you do the mechanical zero right?...so you had to be thinkin I was full of it saying I was shootin 500yds with this scope... <laughs> it wont get there without the 20 moa slope built in to the Nikon mount thats on it! :)Wash

What 98Z said! Everyone of my 308's and my 6.8s have a Nikon bdc ! plus you can get their app for your smartphone and come up with a solution in the field for the bdc Ive always been drooling for a leupy 6.5x20x50 varmint reticle i think those are the numbers?...well a couple of weeks ago me and my best friend took out his mega 308 I built for him which had this scope....and I had a couple of my mega's with Nikons they had bout the same numbers with the bdc. Well lemme tell ya....I was able to a/b them right there side by side....and Im so glad I was able to! I just saved a whole bunch of money and got rid of the "gotta haves" in 5 mins ill just keep on getting the Nikons <thumbsup> Wash

The gap looks fairly nasty <dontknow> So sell this barrel or better yet start a new build using a troy trx 13.8 battlerail that will cover your gas block and then buy a rainier barrel middy system for the monolithic! there problem solved...case closed! <munch> Wash

Hi Uss Well thats a damn shame! the kewl factor of the mono is the clean unbroken lines of the rail.. of course there are other good things about having a mono....my mono uses the Rainier which is middy gas. I would go with what Robo said ...get a flip up sight gas block, if it can be done....that would look good :) Wash

I just got a shim kit from Spikes yesterday....they come barrel /thread specific .....and the package gives you rotational values of the shims....kewl deal ...pkg has has a thick, a not so thick <laughs> and a bunch of very thin shims....clocking a comp/brake is an azz whooping...because by the time you get to this stage that means the gun's ready to go....and so are you <thumbsup> Wash

Hi ya'll Here is Char's new best lil buddy! thanks Chris Harter@ performance arms in Kansas. We just got back from the range and nevermind his melt job and slide cerakoting....this baby works flawless and its the best ive seen her shoot with a pistol! How chris finds these hard to get items I dunno,but I like it <thumbsup> He did the apex,sear,usb tuned the trigger to 4.5 lbs.polished the chamber and on and on....the slide is sniper grey and he textured an offhand shelf ....now another round to stock up on <laughs> Wash

Hi Tcoche I was asking bout Si cause im a Mega man but Mega would be out cause it doesnt have forward assist. :) Wash Oooops just saw you are wanting the trx 12 inch rail...thats not the one you want for the rainier barrel....the rainier is a middy gas system...so you want the trx extreme 13.8 battlerail which will cover the gasblock.. and look sweet...ive got three of these rainier middys all using the 13.8 trx......on second thought you could use the 12" if you wanted to :) Wash
