  1. Hi Robo Ive also got the troy extreme on a 6.8.On the 6.8 extreme rail there is a tab that butts up against the upper to prevent rotation in addition to the two lockdown bolts for the barrel nut...I wish they could have done this on the 308... I have yet to notice any movement on the 308's so,I guess Troy knows what they are doing! :) Wash
  2. Hiya My vote is the trx 13.8 extreme battlerail.Ive got two of em and built a third for a buddy using this rail. It covers your middy gasblock ,its lightweight, and the diameter is smaller which is a good thing I think :)Wash
  3. Hey Vlad welcome aboard and stay safe! :) Wash

  6. Hi Guys ooooopsies....the nikon "spot on" is correct...we went to the range today and we were going from 200 to 500 yds...pulled out the shooter app it was correct on the moa but waay off on clicks....come to find out I had inputed wrongly on the shooter app when I set it up....so now shooter app and nikon "spot on" are pretty dang close....DUH! :) Wash
  7. Howdy from Big D :) Wash
  8. You pretty much got it down....good trigger...now get a good brake/comp,hmmmmm...but if you are protecting your land maybe a flashider is better? start putting some lead down it!If its new be sure and keep everything lubed up real good...but you knew that :) Wash
  9. Big Texas howdy right back from Big D....so lets go "p dog" huntin....its gotta be your place..all I got is tree rats here in the city! :) Wash
  10. Hi Loco Im not reloading at the momnet, but gettin the itch...used to reload shotgun shells, but that cost me wife number 2 <laughs> geez I was only loading a thousand a week...hmmm..maybe cause I was shootin a thousand a week too! <lmao> both of h's barrels love the ss 110 prohunter and even the hornady vmax 110....S&B not so much..wont use the remmy either we have nikon buckmasters 6x24 mildots on these rifles and hitting 200/300yd steel swingers is easy peasy... Wash
  11. Hi Loco Wow, so you kinda took the fork in the road and then doubled back on the calibers? Our 6.8's gobble up silver state pro hunter 110 gr and also the hornady vmax 110....your bison has got to be a tack driver...what does it like to eat? :) Wash
  12. JJ I think fulton's 18 incher is rifle length :) Wash
  13. Hiya again Loco Tell me if this same thing happened to you? you been shootin .556's for a long while....and loved the heck out of em....sooo you get ahold of the 6.8...shoot it..and then shoot the .556 again after shootin the 6.8....and wonder why you have been shootin a .556 popgun? <laughs> sooo then you get a 308...well, you get the drift <lmao> Wash
  14. Hiya VW Ive got some ak's and I dont think that with iron sights and the 7.62 ammo you are using it wouldnt make a whit of difference between the grain weight of the two different bullets you are using....after all when we talk of moa on ar's and other rifles...the ak shoots mom.....min of man....im not trying to be a gun snob or a wise acre...but all the ak's ive got hardly shoot moa...and ive got some nice ones...so long story short...dont sweat it <munch> Wash
  15. Hi Btate Ive got two of these on my two 6.8's. My Gal smacks the steel disks at 300 yds with hers. Midway seems the one thats got it instock all the time ;) Wash Nikon Buckmasters Rifle Scope 6-18x 40mm Side Focus Mil-Dot Reticle Matte ....yes has target turrets
  16. Yes they did ....actually 3 sets...short,large target that had dust covers, and big target turrets that we use on ours...we use the burris pepr mounts...perfect height! :) Wash
  17. Gunner very nice! :) Wash
  18. Hi Btate My thoughts are save your money till you can get a quality scope....as for quality in a scope...thats a big ol can o worms <laughs> Ive got two Nikon Monarch 6x24x50's with side focus and bdc on both of my 308's...all we do is shoot steel at up to 500 yds.. and the scope does really well with these old eyes I did a lil research for ya on the new 308 Nikon, and I think I would rather have the one I have...also you can get the 6x24x50 for a lil cheaper if you shop around. Another thing is that with all the ballistic apps for smart phones, its better than having the reticle calibrated for one cartridge. The "shooter" app is truly amazing on how accurate it is! ;) Wash
  19. What Survival said .... "Having marks on or near the ejection port is nothing to worry about , they are hitting the brass deflector ,just not leaving a mark, yet. I would look into the extractor for burr's or weak spring or some thing may have gotten into that area , also check the ejector & make sure its free to move with out hanging up . It looks like the fired case is late being ejected .( dent in mid section of case, not unusual ) " Not to get off topic, but how is the Dag treating your barrel? Ive only shot bout 20 rounds of it...seems fairly nice! Wash
  20. Sorry......Yeppers meant 308 buffer....good eye! :) Wash
  21. Hi 6500 Ive built up two mega's for myself and one for my best Bud. They are all pretty much clones of my first build. The fit/finish of the Mega's are perfect in my book. Used the dpms chrome bcg's and the fulton chrome bcg.Rainier 18" select barrels ,and troy extreme battlerails, along with magpul acs stocks, flatwire buffer spring and a plain ol car buffer....they all go boom everytime and no feeding or eject problems....my Bud's FFL is a gun snob...when he saw the mega come in he was impressed enough to get himself one :) Wash
  22. Sweet! :) Wash
  23. Hiya We were in the cheaper than dirt Mckinney Tx store last week and they had the dpms chrome bcg in a dpms bag that was in a display case....soo even if they dont have it on the website give the Mckinney store a call...betcha its still there ;) Wash
