I hate to come off like an A-hole but you are unclear on what you want. You may get parts that wont be compatible,(carbine...rifle ,high or low profile ). <dontknow>

I was loading some 300wsm rounds this morning with Speer 200 gr spitzers and Sierra GameKing 180gr spitzer boat tails. Both are fairly long bullets. I will load some of the Gamekings HOT for my 308 that should be a pretty good 1000 yard round.

Opps... My Bad ...I was on the 300WSM page when I gave you those stats ! Same bullets but a much lower velocity of 2966 FPS with different powders.

That is Soooo true ! His LaRue is very nice. Even I could hit metal with it using cheap $17.99 a box ammo. But that scope didn't make it much of a challenge. Kinda like putting a cherry on a milkshake. You dont need it but its sure nice to have. +1 on the LaRue !

So when will this gun be finished... Before Chrismas ?? I wanna shoot it TOO !

Just want to throw this out there. How about using a 155gr AMAX or 155gr Lapua bullet loaded HOT with Superformance , out of a 24" barrel the muzzle velocity should be close to 3000fps. BTW this powder is ok to use IF you have a rifle length gas system in your gun. If your are" Scared " of this powder try another powder. Thats my 2 cents.

I shot these rounds today, no signs of pressure or buldging. all of the rounds cycled well , loaded lightest to heavy. Hit the target at 50 yards with each round.

Shot two of the 200gr XTP loads out of the 10mm Witness, 1st load worked great . 2nd load was too hot and wouldn't cycle every round, had several jams. I know what the upper limit is for this gun now. I will settle for a load with 8.9gr or 9.1gr of Imr 800X with the 200gr.

The subsonic 9mm rounds worked great ! All of the rounds within a 2.5" to 3" circle at 15 yards ,shooting out of a Ruger SR9 with 4.5" barrel. They were considerably quieter ,more of a cul-ack... than a CRACK.

Picked up a box of 30 cal Hornady bullets and a box of Berry plated handgun bullets. Couldn't help myself.

Works great but may NOT be range friendly !

OK... Back on the subject again. How about this ? .309" dia lead bullets in an AK 7.62 x 39 russian ??

I have made loads for 9mm 115gr FMJ's at book max and 0.1 gr less works great in the 9mm AR. The 40S&W loads at 6.2gr work good in the XD-40's with 180gr Hornady XTPs. The 10mm vary with the high pressure, temp changes. My Witness cycles 180gr XTPs with 9.7gr no problem. At 9.8gr I can only use CCI 300 primers. At 9.9gr the temp comes into play, 10.0gr and 10.1gr have to be shot on cool days or the gun wont cycle. Best load so far: New Starline brass , 180gr XTP, 9.7gr of IMR 800-X,CCI 350 @ 1.260" Made loads using Hornady 200gr XTP for the 40S&W and the 10mmAuto. Will post results after I shoot them.

9 months for a barrel ! 11 months for a barrel ! Current wait , since July for a 308 lower with #11 serial number and it is finished waiting for paperwork approval.
