I saw a vehicle called a Quadski on tv the other day. A BMW powered quad bike whos wheels hydraulically fold up when you drive into the water and switch over to water jet power. They said it was speed limited to 45mph on land and water.
I think it was 33k.
It was all the 45ACP parts needed to convert my RIA XT22 to 45ACP. Many of the parts are oversized requiring fitting, not drop in like I thought they'd be.
I own two RIA 1911s and both have been very good pistols.
The only problem I've had with RIA is a recent purchase of 1911 parts that required more fitting than I was prepared to do.
But I'll get that all worked out, it won't get the best of me.
I've got Wilson Combat, Colt, Pachmyr, Act, mil surplus and Mec-Gar.
The frame's feed ramp is unpolished since it was shipped as a 22 whos barrel has it's own separate feed ramp.
I'm pretty sure this is where the woes lie.
And some guys can walk a tightrope too.
The 3MR trigger will, hopefully, allow me to be a tightrope walker too.
And some guys can walk a tightrope too ev
I ordered all the parts to convert my very nice RIA XT22 to 45ACP.
I guess they intend these parts for custom 1911 builders because many of the parts were oversized and required extensive fitting.
I no longer have a workbench set up so did this with files and sandpaper on the table.
The sonofabitchin barrel had to be fitted in every direction. Had to hand fit six surfaces on that damned barrel, all with little files and three grades of sandpaper.
The extractor and firing pin stop had to be fitted A's well as the full lenght guide rod which was too long.
Damn my fingers are sore.
Finally got it all done after eight hours anf it won't feed a single round of three different brands of ammo from any mag I own.
I start back on it tomorrow but I alreadg hate it.
Damn.....
Pretty good mileage for a car that big.
P.S. My new Mitsubishi Mirage has registered 51.7 mpg on the interstate at 60 mph.
Of course, it's half the size of the Fusion, has a puny little 1.2 liter engine and only weighs 2025 lbs.
