  1. I had a LDI OTAL red laser. Pretty high end military type device. I think my off the shelf viridian green lasers blew it out of the water in terms of brightness and daylight visibility. They did eat batteries though.
  2. They aren't pointed back at all and there's nothing on top....but I bought 2 and I have a friend with cool tools :)
  3. Hope he builds knives better than websites! I could barely read that. Just saw a $2200 balisong. Looks a lot like a $400 balisong with some fancy handles.
  4. Wonder how my $15 SLR blem brake will work! Only thing I'll be able to compare it to is a dynacomp, but I'll probably swap them to see which I like better on the new gun. I just noticed the price went up to $23 http://slrrifleworks.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=116
  5. I used 118 in my normal PMAGs just fine. Wonder how much more room they crammed in there and if it hurt them at all?
  6. recovering the bike after wipe outs would be a real pain.
  7. Splinters must really suck!
  8. What a tease! Details man! Weight? Are those boxes in the pic the ammo you tested? Is there a price yet? .750 gas block yes?
  9. My weaver has green and red and I like the green better. My friends trijicon has Amber, and there are some places out in the desert where the triangle totally gets lost in the background.
  10. Ha! Nice catch jt. I forgot about that one. Clears things up.
  11. Just a quick note...AR10 is an armalite rifle. 308AR is a better general term to use, or just refer to it by manufacturer. With all the compatibility issues among the big frame guns, it's best to be specific for advice sake. Unless you plan on pushing out real far, a 16" barrel will probably give you the same performance with a little less weight, but nothing wrong with a 20. The fun of building over buying
  12. Meh. Slickguns was cool at first. Now it's 90% dealer postings. It got so big that most people don't want to share their secret spots. Just means you might miss out next time. I still browse it, but it's not as good as it was.
  13. First thing I thought of was the YOU WILL NOT BE MISSED post.
  14. For $500 less.,,
  15. In my country...optic watches you!
  16. The power requirement is why we went with the wired cameras. We didn't want to find and splice into the hard lines. Lady wasn't paying for that much effort lol.
  17. Helped a buddy install a camera system in some rich lady's house. Was relatively easy to install. 8 cameras of varying quality using coax for power and signal. Wireless camera at the driveway gate spliced into gate power. Only real "work" Was cutting a hole in the roof to bring the coax down and finding the best way to route/hide the cable. The coax and the wireless receiver plugged right into a hub, and that plugged right into a small CPU designed for the purpose. Had a small internal memory, with provisions for external hard drives and moniters. Minimal setup. Was pretty much plug and play. Soon as I can afford a simple system I'll grab a few cameras and dig in.
  18. Good info. I'll admit I need to practice that. I think I'm guilty of running mine too bright. Honest question...anyone else here "practice" This stuff when home alone? Lol. I don't get out to the range enough, and it's been over a decade since I got to play soldier, but I do try to keep up with my basic mall ninja rifle handling stuff. Just try to keep mag changes and transitions somewhat smooth. Muscle memory and whatnot. Sometimes I feel kinda silly.
  19. Rene....you have been much more pleasant than I would have been.
  20. Disgusting http://allenbwest.com/2015/08/whats-happening-to-this-heroic-navy-officer-from-the-chattanooga-shooting-will-make-your-blood-boil/
  21. I posted a link a while ago about luckygunner donating $200k to local 2A advocacy groups. This was the money they were donating.
  22. Not too exceptional. Keep an eye on https://www.targetsportsusa.com sign up for the email alerts. Free shipping on full cases of ammo. The site is a pain to navigate so I just use the email links when they pop up.
  23. Well, your first problem is a lack of pictures. We do so enjoy our rifle porn. You can start a gun introduction thread over in the manufacturers forum.
  24. His world may not revolve around your hesitation to utilize a screw driver.
  25. You are screwing into your $40 stock, not your $1500 rifle. If it's this big a deal...maybe you ought to take it to a gunsmith to be safe.
