maybe it takes a bit to update. it was only at a few thousand when I signed. climbed fast for the first few days.

I wouldn't get one without a good anti-spal coating. place some fruit around a AR500 target and pump a few rounds into it. see if you want your chin and arms looking like that. armor has only one purpose. only one reason to buy it. because you accept the possibility that some poop might go down, and you might take fire. if you are planning for that contingency, than it only makes sense to save up a few more bucks for a coated plate. good score on the rig btw. Eagle stuff is pretty nice.

I spent this weekend pulling weeds and getting the pool up. only got in to my knees. water is chilly.

dicks screwed a ton of people on those TROY ARs as well. allowed people to backorder them, and then canceled all the backorders right after the panic started. I won't drop a dime on them either. turns out those TROY ARs were kinda crappy, but not the point.

if I needed to lug a 308 around with me for extended periods & didn't plan on playing legos with it...id look at the DPMS G2 for sure.

that's not a very good yardstick. my wife is Mexican, and some of her extended family exceeds every stereotype. there are cousins a decade and a half younger than you who are grandparents. yea...do the math. there are also aunts and uncles who are younger than their nieces and nephews. cousins who are in the age group of parents or babies. so on an so forth. very confusing for us guerros. that's why everyone in Mexican families are just "cousins" lol. it saves time.

close enough isn't good enough in this scenario. the difference between a safe gun and a violent case rupture can be hundredths of an inch. 60,000 psi can probably do bad things to a receiver, and any organic matter unfortunate enough to be too close

simple explanation....they make a small precise gauge that measures the space between the bolt face and the chamber. too much or too little space and you can have big problems. imagine the round not being fully seated in the chamber and still firing off. kaboom! not a big deal with a milspec AR15, but 308s have no standard spec sheet to machine off of so using different manufacturers parts is a crap shoot. in your case, you already have parts that were not meant to work together you have modded. nothing wrong with that....and I applaud your creativity getting it running, but I wouldn't fire a single round again until I had it headspaced by a smith, or orderd the gauges and do it yourself. you are gambling with your face/eyes/fingers here man.

damn. we start our work qualification with unsupported strong hand/weak hand drill. 54 of my bullets make a big raggedy hole in the middle. the 6 unsupported shots look like someone took a shot at my target with some 00.

I see they have the AR10 version. guessing heavier hammer for those hard primers.
